Currently Updating Site:

Hey everyone.  If you’ve noticed my site was offline last week, it has been because my awesome brother in law has been doing some updates to it (I’m terrible with computers lol).  There’s still more work that will be done but it should be finished soon.  In the mean time, I have been testing a lot of gear recently, so once everything is A okay, expect those first impressions and reviews to come shortly.

What kind of gear do I currently have?  Currently, I have all three of the Sigma APS-C L mount lenses, and also the new Sigma 85mm f1.4 DG DN Art Lens in L mount.  I have been using a Leica CL with the APS-C lenses, and they work great.  I’ve been doing some portraits with the Leica SL2 and the 85mm f1.4…the lens is phenomenal!  Can’t wait to get some examples up here.  I think I will see if I can also do a comparison between my Leica APO Summicron-SL 90mm and the Sigma 85mm f1.4.  I think that’ll be kind of fun :).  So, thanks for your patience, and for stopping by!

I’ll look forward to your comparison between the Sigma 85 1.4 and the Summicron-SL 90! That should be a fun one. I’ve been wanting the Summicron-SL 90, since I love my 50 so much. But if the Sigma is as good as I hope it is, that will be a really attractive alternative.

      Hi David!

The Summicron-SL 90mm is absolutely perfect. It’s flawless but the Sigma…man, it produces such an incredible look :). I don’t want to send it back lol. I’ll be doing a big test with it tomorrow 🙂 Talk to you soon, and have a great weekend!

      Best,

Hey Patrick! Hope we can see pics taken from the 85mm 1.4 and the CL! Would love to see the rendering / compression at 1.4 for full body portraits!

    Cheers

      Hi Jonathan!

I’ll try my best! The balance on the CL is very nice though! The 85mm f1.4 isn’t that heavy, and it’s pretty compact considering. Hope you’re doing well!

      Best,

      Patrick
