Not Even My Leica M9 Can Take Me Out of My Photographic Rut:
Hey everyone, I know I haven’t posted something substantial in quite some time. I’m sorry for that I’ve just been kind of busy with the Thanksgiving Holiday. Plus, I’ve been in kind of a photographic rut…I’ve taken a lot of photos but none that I really like. The great thing about the Leica M9 is that it motivates me to go out and take pics. It’s small, light, and actually a joy to use which makes me take it everywhere. I’m just not finding anything I really want to take pictures of lately. But that will probably change soon since all the Christmas stuff in New York City has finally come out.
Off to The Leica M9 Photos…:
So I’ve been walking around with my Leica M9, and as I said before, I took a lot of photos. I just didn’t like as many as I thought that I would. Hopefully I will get out of this rut soon :). Here’s a bunch of pictures from a few days ago. Hope you all like them. Don’t forget, I will be writing a review soon on the 50 Summicron so please stay tuned. It’s a fantastic lens that I almost sold when I bought my 50 Summilux ASPH. I just couldn’t sell it at the end because it’s such an awesome lens. Well, off to the pics, I hope all of you in the U.S. had a good Thanksgiving :).
↑ A lot of the older people in Chinatown play different types of board games in Columbus Park. This was shot with the 50 Summilux ASPH.
↑ I love the fish markets in Chinatown because there’s so much opportunity for street photography. This was shot with the 50 Summilux ASPH as well.
↑ This was shot from the Manhattan Bridge with the 35 Summicron ASPH. I used Nik Software Color Efex Pro 4 to help bring out some of the dirty detail, and to make the photo a little more cooler.
↑ The best cheesecake in the WORLD. PERIOD. Don’t go to the Juniors in Times Square if you’re visiting New York City. Go to the Juniors on Dekalb Ave. one stop away from Canal St. on the Q or B train. That’s the original, it tastes better, and it’s cheaper :).
↑ Canal St. on a rainy night. I love the colors that come out of Leica M9 and 35 Summicron ASPH combo.
↑ A top view of Midtown Manhattan seen through the 50 Summilux ASPH.
↑ A vintage look of Times Square shot with my favorite combo: Leica M9 and 50 Summilux ASPH.
