Leica S2 and S2-P Firmware Version 1.0.2.0 Released:
For any of you who are lucky enough to own a Leica S2, there is a new firmware update released by Leica. This firmware update was developed specifically for the use of the S2 with the new Leica Elmarit-S 30mm ƒ2.8 ASPH. Owners of the Leica S2 who want to update their camera can go to the Owners Area on the Leica website.
The Leica S2 and S2-P:
I used the Leica S2 once, and let me tell you…this is simply the most awesome camera out there. 37.5 megapixels, MAESTRO image processor, 30 x 45mm CCD sensor with an aspect ratio of 3:2 that’s nearly 60% larger than a traditional 35mm sensor…The Leica S2-P adds a sapphire screen and Platinum Service Package…I love this camera, and there are many times that I actually considered selling my entire M system just to buy this camera. But I love the M system, and the S2 couldn’t replace it. The Leica S2 could only compliment it. But hear this, one day I’m going to get this bad boy :).
