Busy Weekend But Looking Forward to Shooting With My Leica M9 Again:
I hope everyone had a good weekend. I had a very busy but productive one. I’ve been working on some wedding photos that I will post up soon. I should’ve had these done a while ago but I just got too busy. They were all shot with the Leica M9, and only one lens: the 50 Summilux ASPH. The lux not only produces breathtaking images, it is also a very versatile lens. Since I was busy for the whole weekend, I didn’t get much of a chance to go out and take any pics but I will leave you all with the photo in this post.
I’ve had a few people who have emailed me asking about this photo (this is the photo for my banner on top), and so here it is. It was shot with my Leica M9, and my 35 Summicron Pre-ASPH Version 4. You know, the “Bokeh King” as some of you may call it? I didn’t write up a review of this lens yet but it will be coming. This is a great, GREAT lens. If you want to see more from this lens, you should check out my 35 Summicron Pre-ASPH “Bokeh King” 7-Element For Portraits Review. The photo in this post was one of my earliest photos with my M9, and still one of my favorites. It was shot around 1am in Union Square here in New York City.
If you read my last post, I was talking about the frustrations that I was having with my Leica M9. After a busy weekend of editing, and seeing some nice results, I am very eager to go back to shooting with my M9. Who knows, maybe I just needed a break. Hopefully I get some cool stuff tomorrow. Anyway, stay tuned…more to come.
