An Old Chevy Pickup in Brooklyn:
Wow, temperatures today in New York City were 71 degrees today! Crazy considering it was 25 degrees on Tuesday morning. Anyway, check out what I saw: you never see these often…well at least not in Brooklyn. I was walking around my neighborhood, and saw this old Chevy pickup truck parked near a local park. If they made new Chevy trucks as attractive as this old one, I might consider changing my car :). I shot these photos with my Leica M9 and 50 Summilux ASPH all at F1.4. Two were shot at ISO 640 and one was shot at ISO 800. I used Nik Software Silver Efex Pro 2 to give it that vintage sepia look.
I used the new Lightroom 4 to process the RAW files. I downloaded the 30 day demo from Adobe’s site. Lightroom never really appealed to me much only because I was brought up as a photoshop user. But I actually like the new Lightroom a lot even though I’m still learning how to use it. If you want to just try it out, go to Adobe’s site to download it. It’s a full version, and it’s free for 30 days. If you decide to buy it, it’s half the price of the older version, which I think is very reasonable. Anyway, here’s one more photo of the Chevy:
I’ve been working on wedding photos the whole day but I think I might go out tonight to experience some of this warm weather. People aren’t even wearing their coats, and it’s only the beginning of March! Stay tuned for my wedding photos, and some reviews coming soon. Unfortunately, no Fuji X-Pro1 yet but I think it should come soon. People from other countries are already getting it. Take care.
Hello! I love the first shot of this Chevy pickup!! Great work 😉
Can I use it for a beautiful wallpaper on my laptop?
Hi Fabrice, thank you for your nice comment. I am extremely flattered! Sure, you can use my photo for your wallpaper on your laptop, and thank you for asking! Thanks for visiting my site and take care!
As a photographer I think asking is normal!
I like your style, you’re a true street photographer and you mastering great your M9. I’m waiting for the M10 but the X-Pro1 gives me a wink…
Yes, you definitely have a point :). It’s still really nice, and decent of you :). Wow, thank you for the compliment! I am very grateful! Being a Leica fanatic, I am also waiting for the M10 but I must say, the quality of the X-Pro1 is truly exceptional especially for its price. I love that Fuji made a camera like this. Thanks for stopping by to visit, take care!
