Locomotive Shot With My 50 Summilux ASPH:
I hope all of you had a good weekend. I was busy processing a bunch of wedding photos, and doing a little celebrating because it was my birthday :). The photo above was posted before. I posted it in The Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania Through the Eyes of The Leica 50 Summilux ASPH so if you want to see more, please go over there, and check it out. The reason I posted it again was because I had a couple of people email me recently about this photo. I’m actually currently working on a gallery section for this blog where I will put up my favorite photos.
This photo was shot with my Leica M9 and 50 Summilux ASPH. It was processed with Camera Raw, and I used Nik Software Silver Efex Pro to convert it to sepia. I can not praise Nik Software enough for their Photoshop plugins. Silver FX Pro really helps give you that black and white “film” look. They make good stuff, and if you ever want to try any of their plugins, you can get their trial versions right off of their website. They even give you free webinars to help you learn how to use their amazing plugins.
Stay tuned for more photos coming shortly. Also, stay tuned for some cool reviews coming up, such as, the Fuji X-Pro1 (as soon as I get it). I pre-ordered the camera and all three lenses but I am secretly hoping the XF 35 F1.4 (53mm equivalent) will come first. In my opinion, that’s the first lens that you should get with the new Fuji. I will defintely be doing a few in depth reviews/discussions about the new Fuji X-Pro1 kit. I plan on shooting with it extensively. I will also probably do a comparison between the Fuji XF 35 F1.4 and the 50 Summilux ASPH. Take care everyone.
