Leica M9 Cracked Sensor Fixed:

For those who don’t know, the sensor in my Leica M9 cracked recently, and my camera dealer (Bergen County Camera) was nice enough to bring it over to Leica NJ.  You can read about it in two of my past posts (first post and second post).  Leica originally told my dealer that M9 sensors were backordered to maybe June but it turns out that apparently, they received new sensors :).  Leica NJ fixed the cracked sensor in my M9 free of charge.  I am very happy about this, and I can not wait to pick up my camera tomorrow.  It also goes to show you that it’s great to have a local dealer helping you out, and that’s why I still buy my Leicas from Bergen County Camera.  I don’t get anything for saying this, it’s just true.  They’ve been taking care of my family and I for 30 years.

When I get my Leica M9 back tomorrow, I will post about it for all of you Leica people who follow my blog.  I know quite a few of you have been reading about my cracked sensor post so hopefully this will help all of you.  I just hope my M9 is okay, and back to fighting condition.  I guess I will find out tomorrow :).  I’ve been shooting with the Fuji X-Pro1lately, and it’s awesome but I must admit, I love my M9 :).  Anyway, take care everyone.
