Fujifilm X-Pro3 Mirrorless Camera Announced:
This should be exciting news to Fujifilm fans (I know it is for me 🙂 ): The Fuji X-Pro3 is announced and should be available by late November 2019. This time around, it’s coming in three finishes: black, DR black, and DR silver. The DR versions have Duratect coating, which looks really cool but it’s also is more highly resistant against scratches. Price starts at $1,799.95 for the black, and for the Duratect models, it’s $1995.95.
Pre-orders are available at B&H Photo.
Some of the new specs and pics below:
- 3.0″ Hidden 180° Tilting Touchscreen with1.62m-dot resolution.
- Hybrid 0.5x OVF with 3.69m-Dot OLED EVF.
- 26.1MP APS-C X-Trans BSI CMOS 4 Sensor.
- X-Processor 4 Image Processor.
- The X-Pro3 has a titanium body.
- DR (Duratect) finishing.
- Dual SD card slots.
- A dedicated Focus Lever.
- New Classic Negative film simulation mode.
I can’t wait to try the new X-Pro3 out. I’m an X-T3 user, and generally, I prefer the X-T bodies but I started with the X-Pro1. I’ve always still been a fan of the X-Pro bodies as well, and even I’m getting a bit of GAS right now haha. I’m interested in the new Duratect bodies even though the price is a bit higher. They look really nice, and they’re more wear resistant too :).
Pre-orders are available at B&H Photo.
Still have the same ugly and not very comfortable grip on them.
Also 2000 is a real premium price for an apsc camera. For 2500 you can get an used M240.
That would be a much better investment 😉
Hi Elderin,
Yeah, $2000 puts you in full frame territory. It’s funny you mention the M240 because I was just speaking to someone about it on Instagram. He was looking into buying one. Great camera, I loved mine :).
Best,
Patrick
I still love the finish :). I think it’s kind of cool :).
