Sigma 35mm f1.4 DG DN Art Lens Pre-Order:
The Sigma 35mm f1.4 DG DN Art lens has been announced, and pre-ordering is already available for those interested. It looks like we may even see it by the end of May. Like the older version (I reviewed this version for L mount here), I imagine this lens will be very popular. The 35mm f1.4 DG HSM Art is great but it was originally a DSLR lens converted to fit L mount where as the new one has been specifically designed for mirrorless, so it’s smaller and lighter. Plus, the new lens features new features like a new optical design for one. For those interested, you can pre-order below:

Here are some of the features:
- Super Multi-Layer Coating on the lens elements help minimize flare, ghosting, and contribute to producing contrast-rich and color-neutral imagery even in backlit conditions.
- Stepping motor for quick and near silent autofocus, and an optimized AF algorithm for better autofocus performance.
- Manual aperture ring with de-clicked feature for smooth, and silent operation for video.
- Built-in Autofocus-Lock (AFL) button which can be assigned additional functions.
- Rounded eleven-blade diaphragm.
- Weather-resistant construction with a brass bayonet.
