Sigma 28-45mm f1.8 DG DN Art Lens Review

Sigma has been releasing some fantastic options for Leica L mount lately, and it seems they aren’t ready to stop just yet.  Now, there’s a new zoom out, which I’m guessing will appeal to many users given the focal length range: the 28-45mm f1.8 DG DN Art.  Yes, you read that right; here’s a zoom that many consider a sweet spot in focal range all with a constant maximum aperture of f1.8.  Thanks to Sigma, I was able to obtain a pre-launch sample to test. Sigma 50mm f1.2 DG DN Art Lens Review:

A 50mm to me is one of the most versatile focal lengths a photographer can have.  Just for my own work alone, I use a 50mm for 99% of it.  I’m being serious too.  It’s the one lens that many, including me, find indispensable, which is one of the main reasons why the market is filled with 50mm lenses to choose from.  Another great reason to buy a 50mm is that generally speaking, you don’t necessarily have to spend a ton of money to get a decent one.  If you’re in the L Mount Alliance like I am, you know there are already plenty of great 50mm lenses to choose from but now, there’s a new game changer in the market: the Sigma 50mm f1.2 DG DN Art.  Thanks to Sigma, I was able to get a pre-release sample to test, and here are my thoughts on this new 50mm. Sigma 105mm f1.4 DG HSM Art Lens Review L mount:

When the L Mount Alliance was announced, the first lens I thought of was the Sigma 105mm f1.4 HSM Art.  I always wanted to use the 105mm but as some of you know, I was shooting with Leica cameras at the time, and using the lens wasn’t possible.  After hearing Sigma and Panasonic were joining forces with Leica, I was quite excited for what would come from this alliance, and knew it was only a matter of time that I would soon be able to use the 105mm with my SL.  It took a little time for the 105mm f1.4 to get released for L mount, and believe me, I was very impatient :).  But it was finally released, and I can tell you right now that it is as good as I ever hoped it would be. Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 DG DN OS Sports Review:

A 70-200mm f2.8 is one of the most important lenses out there because the focal length range, and constant aperture make it extremely versatile: it can be used for weddings, portraits, sports to wildlife, and even cityscape. To say it’s crucial to many photographers’ kits might even be an understatement.  It makes sense for lens manufacturers to invest the proper time in designing a decent lens in this range, and with that said, Sigma has recently announced the 70-200mm f2.8 DG DN OS Sports.  Thanks to them, I was able to get a pre-launch sample in L mount to test.  Here are my thoughts. Sigma 10-18mm f2.8 DC DN Contemporary Review:

If you’re an L mount user, and you’re looking for an ultra wide angle zoom, the Sigma 10-18mm f2.8 DC DN Contemporary lens has just been announced today.  It’s ultra compact, and on paper, it looks to be feature packed.  Since it is an APS-C lens, it equates to a 15-27mm equivalent, which is also a really nice focal length range.  Thanks to Sigma, I was able to get a pre-launch example to test.  Here’s my full review of it.
