Tamrac 5689 Pro Compact Digital Bag Review:

Sometimes when I go on vacation with my family or friends, I just don’t want to carry too much gear even though the photographer in me wants the best image quality possible.  That’s where high end compact point and shoot cameras come into play because you get essentially an all in one system that’s relatively pocket size without sacrificing too much in the image quality department.  The tech that we have in these types of cameras nowadays are pretty impressive; you can take some decent quality photos with cameras like the Fuji X30, the Sony RX100 or the Leica D-Lux Typ 109 just to name a few.  While they are technically pocket size, sometimes it’s just more comfortable to carry them in some sort of case or pouch.  One great option is the Tamrac 5689 Pro Compact Digital Bag. Artisan & Artist ACAM 7100 Camera Bag Review:

Finding a decent, comfortable camera bag to use daily that fits everything I want in my own little way without dragging me down all day is not always something that is easy to find.  I’m sure that I’m not the only one that feels this way.  I am a minimalist when it comes to carrying camera gear, and for a while now, I’ve wanted something that is a bit lighter, and slimmer but not to the point where it becomes useless for my needs.  I still want something that can fit two or three lenses when I need it to but also feel just as comfortable if I only had one lens and camera body.  I definitely want something with decent padding as well.  This is how I found my way to the Artisan & Artist ACAM 7100 (B&H Photo/Amazon) or as some call it, Oskar’s One Day Bag. iDeaUSA 11000mAh Portable Power Bank Review:

I like power banks for one simple reason: When I’m out taking pictures, I just don’t like to stop somewhere to look for an outlet to charge my devices.  I love walking; I love staying mobile.  With that said, I’m starting to use larger capacity power banks these days because not only are the batteries in my devices getting larger, I’m also finding myself having more devices that need charging.  The only major problems with using bigger capacity power banks is that they are often larger, cost more, and are more inconvenient to carry around.  So, I’m always looking for something that can keep these problems to a minimum.  One large capacity portable charger that I’ve recently tested is the iDeaUSA 11000mAh Portable Power Bank. EasyAcc Classic Gen2 6400mAh Power Bank Review:

Over the past couple of months, I’ve been reviewing more and more power banks because I use them myself in my photographic kit.  They are extremely useful, and can definitely be a lifesaver.  With a few exceptions, most of the power banks that I’ve been reviewing have been large in capacity, so I thought it would be great idea to review something more compact and smaller in power capacity.  I love the capacity in the larger portable chargers but there are times when I want to carry the least amount of gear as possible like only a camera and one lens.  So, I would need something that still has the capacity to charge a large battery like the one in my iPhone 6 Plus but still something small enough to fit comfortably in my pocket since I wouldn’t be carrying a bag.  Thanks to EasyAcc, I was able to get something with these specs: the Classic Gen2 6400mAh. EasyAcc 2nd Gen 10000mAh Power Bank Review:

Power banks are becoming increasingly important because we live in a world where we rely on our electronics but in order for our devices to work, they need power.  Ten years ago, I didn’t need a cell phone but now, I hate to say it, I think I would be lost without my smart phone.  The problem is, sometimes I rely on my phone so much that it just doesn’t make it to the end of the day.  It’s not just the phone though; many of us use tablets, Kindles, mp3 players, and there are even cameras with non-removable batteries that can be charged with a power bank to make it through the day.  Take for example, the new Olympus Air, which is something that I’m currently testing.  It has a non-removable battery, so I can’t bring spares with me.  Having a portable charger is great when I’m out with the Air because then I don’t actually need to stop anywhere to charge it from an outlet.  The portable charger that I’ve been using lately is the EasyAcc 2nd Gen 10000mAh Power Bank.  EasyAcc was kind enough to send me one to review, and seeing as power banks are something that I find very useful in my camera bag kit, I thought it would be a great idea to test one out.
