Artisan & Artist ACAM-301 Woven Silk Cord Camera Strap Review:

Nowadays, camera straps are a big thing in the camera world.  And why wouldn’t they be?  The world today is about personalization.  Everything we buy can be customized to our satisfaction.  Some car companies now will even paint your car any color that you would like (for a small fee, of course 🙂 ).  We now have more camera strap companies than ever before, and that is not a bad thing.  Some may say it’s a waste to “bling” your camera out but hey, it’s YOUR camera, and you can add whatever you want to it.  I remember when I first received my M3, I wanted a leather strap so badly for it.  I wanted that old school look to really resonate from my camera.  I was 12 then, and at that time, they didn’t really have any third party camera strap companies.  Now, they do, and one company that has earn the respect of many photographers is Artisan & Artist.  I spoke of Artisan & Artist straps before in my ACAm-280 Kobe Strap review, and today, I will be showing you the Artisan & Artist ACAM-301 silk cord. Gepe Card Safe Mini Review:

Hey everyone!  I received something cool from Amazon the other day, and I thought I’d share it with you all.  It’s the Gepe Card Safe Mini.  Right now, I currently store my memory cards in Gepe Card Safe Extreme Cases, which I reviewed before.  I love the cases, and I use them all the time, especially since memory cards can get lost fairly easily because of their small sizes.  But, sometimes, I walk around the city, and I don’t bring a bag because I don’t want to carry the weight.  Plus, extra stuff usually equals me being more cumbersome.  Sometimes the extreme cases are a little too big for my jeans so I decided to try out these new card safe mini’s.  Plus, like many photographers out there, I like new toys :). The Herringbone Beatle Bag Review: Billingham Style For Less?

The Herringbone Beatle Bag Review:

Hey everyone!  Here is another bag review but this time, it’s going to be something a little bit different.  There are so many different bag manufacturers out there today yet somehow we always see the same old thing.  For instance, the world is full of bags from companies, such as, Lowepro, Crumpler, and Domke.  I even see quite a few people using Billingham bags nowadays.  Don’t misunderstand me, there is nothing wrong with any of these bags at all.  All of these companies mentioned make great camera bags, and it only makes sense that people buy them by the thousands.  In fact, I’m a big fan of Billingham bags myself, and I haven’t bought anything else in almost 20 years.  But let’s just say that you want something different this time.  Where do you look?  Well, if you want something completely different from everything else out these days, it’s hard but not impossible to find.  Maybe you should check in…Korea.  I say Korea because this is where the Herringbone Beatle bag is made. Eisenstaedt on Eisenstaedt Book Review

Eisenstaedt on Eisenstaedt:

I hope everyone had a good weekend.  It has been crazy hot here in New York City, and I’m not ashamed to say that I stayed home these few days in an air conditioned house just processing some photos lol.  Today, I’m trying something a little different.  One visitor to this site has kindly suggested that maybe in addition to reviews and photos, I might also talk about photography books, and I thought that it was a great idea.  I always wanted to but I didn’t know if anyone would have been interested.  So today, I’m bringing you all a book titled, “Eisenstaedt on Eisenstaedt”.  The photos and text are by Alfred Eisenstaedt, and the introduction is written by Peter Adam. B+W Filter Clear With Multi-Resistant Coating MRC (007M) For X-Pro1

The B+W Filter Clear With Multi-Resistant Coating (007M):

There are two sides to using filters that only serve as protection for your front element.  One side says that after spending so much money on good glass, you obviously want to protect it.  The other side says that after spending so much money on good glass, why would you want to degrade it by putting something in front of it?  I am a strong believer of the former while someone like my dad is a strong believer of the latter.  While I do understand, and believe in my dad’s point of view, I just don’t want anything to happen to my lenses.  I’m a perfectionist, and even if it doesn’t effect image quality, I don’t want a little nick or scratch on the front element of my $4000+ 50 Summilux ASPH.  So is there a compromise?  Well, sort of…you can still purchase a filter but get something that’s high quality so degradation is at its minimum.  I did just that, and I ended up purchasing the B+W filter clear with Multi-Resistant Coating (MRC) (007M) for my Fuji X-Pro1 lenses.
