Sigma 35mm f1.4 DG DN Art Lens Pre-Order:
The Sigma 35mm f1.4 DG DN Art lens has been announced, and pre-ordering is already available for those interested. It looks like we may even see it by the end of May. Like the older version (I reviewed this version for L mount here), I imagine this lens will be very popular. The 35mm f1.4 DG HSM Art is great but it was originally a DSLR lens converted to fit L mount where as the new one has been specifically designed for mirrorless, so it’s smaller and lighter. Plus, the new lens features new features like a new optical design for one. For those interested, you can pre-order below:

Sigma 65mm f2 DG DN Contemporary Lens Review:
For those looking for new L mount lenses, Sigma has been releasing quite a few lately. One lens in particular, which is part of the new Sigma I Series, is the new 65mm f2 DG DN Contemporary lens. I’ve been wanting to try this lens for a while now because my favorite focal length is a 50mm, and the Sigma is just a little bit longer. Therefore, it may have certain benefits that are good for my type of work, which is fashion and boudoir. I’ve had the pleasure of using this lens for quite a while, and here’s what I think of it. Leica CL: Still Worth Buying in 2021?:
I don’t own a Leica CL but I did review it when it was released, and occasionally, I will borrow it from my uncle. In fact, I’ve actually been borrowing his for the past 6 months, and I have to say, it’s definitely a nice camera to shoot with, and something I would love to own. Lately, I’ve also been speaking to a few friends about the CL, and a couple have jumped on one because there are some pretty good deals. For instance, there are a couple of bundles, such as, the CL and Elmarit-TL 18mm 2.8 ASPH bundle, where you’re basically getting the lens for free and $100. You can even choose between silver or black. I’m assuming like many others that a new CL2 is either in the works or coming out sooner or later. So, the question is, is it still worth buying one now, especially if you can find a good deal? [continue reading…]
Leica Shots: New York City Cityscape:
Hey Everyone. So, I thought I’d post something different than a review this time. I think some of you know my main Instagram account but I also started another one specifically for cityscape and landscape shots, so I’ve been going through some of my older photos just to see what I have. It does take up a lot of time but I love going through old photos. Anyway, I did this for my Fujifilm shots before, so I thought I would post a few photos I took with my Leica gear over time. Some of these you’ve seen in reviews, and various posts. A few are new too but I figure it would be nice to have them here in one post with better descriptions. [continue reading…]
Sigma 35mm f2 DG DN Contemporary First Impressions:
A 35mm f2 lens is a popular choice among photographers because first off, the focal length is great for a variety of subjects. Second, f2 is a pretty large maximum aperture, which translates into a lens that is more versatile. A 35mm f2 is also usually compact or at least, more manageable than an f1.4 version. However, there aren’t a lot to choose from in L mount form, especially an autofocus version. So, it made sense that Sigma recently released the 35mm f2 DG DN Contemporary lens, and it’s not only compact, it comes in at just $639. Here’s my first impressions of it. [continue reading…]
