Sigma 35mm f1.4 DG HSM Art Lens Leica L Mount First Impressions:
If you’re looking for a 35mm lens for your L mount camera, there are a lot of ways that you can go. For one, you can get an M mount adapter, and attach M lenses. As all of you know, there are tons of M mount 35mm lenses to choose from although personally, I don’t like this route as much because I want autofocus. So, you can go the autofocus route, and buy the APO-Summicron-SL 35mm f2 ASPH, which is superb but also expensive. Are there any other options? Well, how about Sigma? You can get one of my favorite L mount 35mm lenses, the 35mm f1.2, which I reviewed a while back (review here) but if that’s just too large and heavy, then the 35mm f1.4 DG HSM Art Lens might just be the lens for you. It’s also a stop faster than the Summicron. I recently received a copy for review purposes, and here are my first impressions of it. [continue reading…]
Weekly Portrait Post: Sunset Shoot With Tiffany and The Leica SL:
I’ve actually been doing a lot of shoots lately but not much editing. These are shots of Tiffany (her Instagram), and they were taken right around sunset. [continue reading…]

Nikon Z5 Mirrorless Camera First Impressions:
Full frame cameras are getting cheaper these days, which is great. Yes, we still have the super expensive stuff but nowadays, you can get a decent full frame kit for the price of an APS-C or even M43 kit. Take for instance, the new Nikon Z5. Ever since I heard about this camera, I’ve been really interested in reviewing it because I am a fan of the Nikon Z system, and at $1,396.95, it is right within the price range of my Fuji X-T3. In fact, it’s actually cheaper than the newest model, the X-T4. So, let’s take a closer look at it right now. [continue reading…]
Fujifilm X100V Portrait: OOC Jpeg vs. Final Black and White:
I mentioned this in an older post: I’ve been dealing with a pinched nerve in my back and shoulder area that has been causing me excruciating pain. Simple tasks like even typing on my computer is quite painful. It’s been a long month but it is finally getting better, so I can get back to posting more often here. Right now, I thought I’d post some info about the picture above, since I received a few DMs (direct messages) on my Instagram about it. The photo was taken with the Fujifilm X100V, and for those interested, you can read the review of the camera here. [continue reading…]
Fujifilm X100V Mirrorless Camera Review:
The Fujifilm X100 Series has always been loved by so many with good reason. It has always been steadily improved with each new successor but the overall feel, style, and functions have stayed true to the original design. Currently, we have the new X100V, which I’m going to state right now, is probably my favorite new Fuji camera so far. Here’s why. [continue reading…]
