Sigma 35mm f1.2 DG DN Art Lens Review For L Mount:
It’s no secret that the 35mm focal length is one of the most popular around these days. It’s focal length makes it super versatile. You can shoot anything from landscape to street photography. You can even do environmental portraits with it. For some, the 35mm lens is the only lens they need for most of the time. So, imagine if there was a 35mm out there that had autofocus, and it also came with an f1.2 aperture? Imagine what possibilities it could open up? Well, there is one: the Sigma 35mm f1.2 DG DN Art lens, and it’s what I’ll be talking about today. [continue reading…]
Sirui P-204SR 4 Section Monopod Review:
If you need some stability while shooting but don’t necessarily have the time or the ability to set up a tripod, a good alternative is a monopod, which leads me to what I’m reviewing today: the Sirui P-204SR. This is actually the first time I’ve ever reviewed a monopod, and this particular one has been out for a while now but I recently had the pleasure of trying it out, and it’s so cool that I thought I’d write up a review for it. Let’s take a closer look. [continue reading…]
Weekly Portrait Post: Short Set With Valerie And The Pink Ladder:
Here’s a short set I took with Valerie a while back. We were walking around the Lower East Side in Manhattan, and came across this pink ladder. It was attached to a fire escape. She saw the pink ladder from quite a bit of a distance away lol. I didn’t even see it. I don’t have much from this set but I thought I’d post it anyway, since I think it’s kind of cool to just see things like this in New York City. [continue reading…]
Sigma 35mm f1.2 DG DN Art Lens First Impressions L Mount:
It’s an exciting time for me because the L Mount system is expanding, and as some of you know, I’m an L Mount user. I currently own a Leica SL (soon to be SL2), and I’ve been having so much fun trying out these L mount lenses from Sigma. I’ve already reviewed the 45mm f2.8 (review), and the 14-24mm f2.8 (review). Both lenses are incredible. Now, I’m testing the new 35mm f1.2 DG DN Art lens, and here are my first impressions of it. [continue reading…]
Backpack vs Shoulder Bag for Camera Gear: Which is Best For You?:
I’ve been a shoulder bag guy for years, and years. Even in high school when JanSports were the cool backpack to have, I had a shoulder bag. Well, that’s not entirely true; I had a JanSport too but later on, I did switch to a shoulder bag :). Getting back on topic, I thought I’d never switch to a backpack for my camera gear but over the past year, I found myself carrying around more gear for not only my model shoots but also for review purposes. My back started paying for it, so I started looking into alternatives, and I remember how much I enjoyed the Rucksack 25 that I reviewed a while back thanks to Billingham (review here). Well, I am finally an owner of one, and I’m proud to say that it is my very first backpack ever for camera gear :). Let’s take a closer look at how the two compare. [continue reading…]
