These kinds of picture sets are my favorite because I enjoy candid-like, and spontaneous shots. Tiffany (@tiffany_kelley_) came over for a shoot, and we were both feeling kind of tired, so instead of just diving into shooting, we caught up with each other’s lives. We started talking, and then shooting a bit, so these photos are kind of “behind the scenes” shots :). As some of you know, I switched to the Leica SL a few years ago from the M system, and for the most part, I couldn’t be happier. I absolutely love my SL lenses, and it’s great to also be able to use my M lenses whenever I need too. Of course, I’m always interested in new lenses to complete my collection but it takes time for Leica to release new ones, and even if they start rolling out more, they might not have a focal length I’m interested in using. So, when I heard about the L Mount Alliance, I was actually pretty happy about it because the two partners were Panasonic, and Sigma. Panasonic makes some great M43 lenses, and I absolutely love Sigma lenses. So, I waited patiently for some of these new Sigma lenses to come out, and now that they have, I was able to get the 45mm f2.8 DG DN Contemporary Lens for L Mount in to review. Voigtlander has been making some great rangefinder lenses for some time now but if you ask me, they have really been on a roll recently with some of their new stuff. Take for instance, the new Nokton 75mm f1.5 Aspherical that has been recently released. I was able to get one on loan, and since I don’t use a digital M anymore, I have been testing it quite a bit with my Leica SL. I think it’s one of my favorite lenses to come out this year. I’ve always loved Sigma lenses, and I was really happy when I heard that they were joining the L-Mount Alliance. Since then, I waited (impatiently) for the lenses to be released. After a little bit of a wait, I was glad to hear that a few were finally coming out. One, which I was really excited about, is the 45mm f2.8 DG DN Contemporary Lens.
