Billingham S3 Camera Bag Review:

There are a lot of manufacturers making great camera bags these days.  Billingham is one of these fine manufacturers, and they have been making bags from England for what feels like forever to me.  In terms of price, they are definitely up at the higher end of the spectrum but in exchange, they offer bags that are extremely well-manufactured from some of the best raw materials out there.  They currently released a new line of bags called the S series, and I’ve alreadly reviewed the smaller version the S2, which can be found here.  Today, I will be talking about the middle one, the Billingham S3. Sony RX100 V First Impressions

Sony RX100 V First Impressions:

High end point and shoot cameras have always appealed to me because I love the idea of having a camera with huge capabilities that is also small enough to fit in a pocket.  These cameras can all shoot raw, have excellent lenses, large sensors (at least by point and shoot standards), and a host of other features that will help satisfy the photographer in me for when I can’t bring my larger camera systems.  At the same time, they also have full auto modes, so if I’m lazy or I’m out with friends, I can still get great images without having to go into full photographer mode.  A high end point and shoot series made by Sony, called the RX100 series, has been around for quite some time.  Recently, the company introduced the new RX100 V, which promises to be even better than its predecessors.  It’s actually been something I’ve been shooting with for a while now, and I thought I’d share with all of you my initial impressions of it. Fujifilm XF 16-55mm f2.8 R LM WR Lens Review:

When Fuji introduced the X Series, they primarily concentrated on producing prime lenses.  They later started to introduce some decent zooms but Fuji really wanted to attract an even broader range of photographers, especially users of full frame DSLRs and pros, which meant they needed to produce professional grade zoom lenses.  What do I mean by professional grade zooms?  I mean high grade glass, fixed apertures, and traditional zoom focal length ranges that pros and DSLR users are accustomed too.  For instance, there are many full frame DSLR users who like to use a 70-200mm f2.8, so Fuji introduced the 50-140mm f2.8, which is a 76mm to 213mm equivalent lens (my review of this lens here).  Another lens that many full frame DSLR users are accustomed to is a 24-70mm f2.8 because of its overall versatility.   This is why Fuji released the XF 16-55mm f2.8 R LM WR lens, which gives an equivalent range of 24-84mm. Billingham S2 Camera Bag Review:

Times are definitely changing in the photography world.  Nowadays, we’re seeing smaller, lighter yet highly capable cameras being produced.  So, it makes sense that Billingham decided to invest the time to create the S series, which are bags specifically designed for mirrorless, rangefinder or pretty much any compact camera system out there.  There are three sizes in this series so far, and I actually have them all here to review.  I am going to start with the smallest member of this series, the Billingham S2 because it’s actually my favorite of them all ;). Fujifilm X-T2 XF 50-140mm f2.8 R LM OIS WR Lens Review:

When the Fuji X Series started, it was mainly aimed at rangefinder enthusiasts.  Even the focal lengths were more in line with what rangefinder aficionados traditionally used.  But overtime, the X Series expanded, and it started to attract a broader range of users.  Of course, this meant that Fuji needed a wider selection of lenses to further entice them.  One of these lenses that they created was the XF 50-140mm f2.8 R LM OIS WR lens.  With an equivalent range of 76mm to 213mm, and a fixed f2.8 aperture, this lens serves as a traditional zoom that many DSLR users have grown accustomed to, giving them even more of a reason to explore the X Series, and give it a try.
