Fuji X-T10 Review From Walt Disney World

Fuji X-T10 Review in Walt Disney World:

This is a great time to get into the The Fuji X Series System.  There are more lenses than ever before, the tech is getting better, and there have been some recent big announcements, such as, the release of the long-awaited Fuji X-Pro2.  But not everyone wants to shell out almost $1,700 for a camera body, especially if they just want to give the X Series a try.  Luckily, Fuji also produces cameras that are more budget friendly.  One of these cameras is the Fuji X-T10, which has always intrigued me because it’s essentially a stripped down version of the X-T1 (a camera that I own and love).  I just never got around to trying one out but my recent trip to Walt Disney World seemed like the perfect opportunity to do so.  Disney is a great place to visit but it can be very crowded.  The lines (even with their new Fast Pass system) can be excruciatingly long, and there is a lot of walking, so it’s best to travel light.  The X-T10 is not only light, it is more compact than the X-T1.  While it doesn’t have all the features of the X-T1, it does have the ones that count like the same sensor.  In other words, this camera delivers essentially the same image quality as it’s bigger sibling.  It also has some features not found in the X-T1 that are aimed at beginners, and intermediate users.  Combine the X-T10 with a lens like the XF 27mm F2.8 (which is the only Fuji lens I brought to Disney), and one could potentially have really decent camera system to use when enjoying one’s vacation with family and friends is more important than being burdened with a lot of gear. Cecilia Gallery Leather Wrist Strap Review

Cecilia Gallery Leather Wrist Strap Review:

I bought a new Leica D-Lux Typ 109 in the solid gray color, and I’ve been looking around for a wrist strap for it.  This time, I really didn’t want one made out of leather because I wanted something very flexible considering the camera is both compact and light.  I also wanted a cord end instead of a metal O ring because it adds to the overall flexibility of the strap but I needed a cord that could withstand a lot of abuse because I did not want my camera to snap off.  So, after an extensive search, I finally found a strap that fit my needs: the Cecilia Gallery leather wrist strap. Tamrac 5689 Pro Compact Digital Bag Review:

Sometimes when I go on vacation with my family or friends, I just don’t want to carry too much gear even though the photographer in me wants the best image quality possible.  That’s where high end compact point and shoot cameras come into play because you get essentially an all in one system that’s relatively pocket size without sacrificing too much in the image quality department.  The tech that we have in these types of cameras nowadays are pretty impressive; you can take some decent quality photos with cameras like the Fuji X30, the Sony RX100 or the Leica D-Lux Typ 109 just to name a few.  While they are technically pocket size, sometimes it’s just more comfortable to carry them in some sort of case or pouch.  One great option is the Tamrac 5689 Pro Compact Digital Bag. Rokinon 8mm F2.8 UMC Fisheye II For Fuji X Review:

I love wide angles, so anytime I get a chance to try one out, I go for it.  I reviewed the first version of the Rokinon 8mm F2.8 UMC Fisheye a while ago (review here), and thought it was one of the best lenses ever made for the Fuji X Series.  Ever since then, it’s one of those lenses where I’ve always wish I had purchased one.  It was very reasonably priced, had decent image quality, and it offered such a unique perspective.  It was also downright fun to use.  Well, now they have a new version, the Rokinon 8mm F2.8 UMC Fisheye II, and I was able to get a copy for a short while.  This isn’t really one of my full blown reviews, since I already reviewed the first one and I didn’t have the lens for so long, so consider this a shorter review instead. Artisan & Artist ACAM 7100 Camera Bag Review:

Finding a decent, comfortable camera bag to use daily that fits everything I want in my own little way without dragging me down all day is not always something that is easy to find.  I’m sure that I’m not the only one that feels this way.  I am a minimalist when it comes to carrying camera gear, and for a while now, I’ve wanted something that is a bit lighter, and slimmer but not to the point where it becomes useless for my needs.  I still want something that can fit two or three lenses when I need it to but also feel just as comfortable if I only had one lens and camera body.  I definitely want something with decent padding as well.  This is how I found my way to the Artisan & Artist ACAM 7100 (B&H Photo/Amazon) or as some call it, Oskar’s One Day Bag.
