Love hate relationship with Fujifilm X-E1:
Hello, I am a new owner of Fuji X-E1. I am also a happy owner of Fuji X10, the little brother of X-E1. So, I am here to share my experience along my transition period from the little brother, to his elder sister (since people call is sexy one right, let’s make it a ‘her’ 🙂 ) But first of all, I am not a pro-user hence all this is just an experience of a normal person who is interested in capturing photo. So to make thing clearer, I would compare both of them. So let it how the sexy one blend in…A lot photo shown are SOOC, enjoy :). [continue reading…]

If you’ve already read my Leica M Typ 240 Review, then you’ll know that I’m planning on expanding my review into different, more in-depth parts over time to give readers a better overall user experience. This is “part 2” of my review.

Leica M Typ 240 Review Part 2: Leica EVF2:
I’ve been using the Leica M 240 for quite some time now, and so much of it feels like every other M I’ve used before yet so much also feels completely new. The M 240 has a list of expected upgrades, such as, better high ISO capability, more megapixels, and a better screen. But Leica took it a step further by introducing new features never before seen on an M. Some of these new features include, a CMOS sensor, movie mode, focus peaking, and R-lens compatibility. The other big surprise is the ability for the M to use an electronic viewfinder called the Leica EVF2. [continue reading…]

Expert Shield Screen Protectors Review:
A few weeks ago, I received an email from a company called Expert Shield to see if I wanted to write up a review about their screen protectors. Naturally, I jumped at the opportunity because who doesn’t want a good screen protector for their often times, very expensive camera? To me, a screen protector is a must have accessory because it’s a very cheap, and a very effective way of protecting the LCD screen of your camera. Let’s be honest; who wants to see a big scratch on the LCD screen? If you don’t care, the next person who you decide to sell it to might, which means a scratched screen could really affect your resale value badly. Some of you might be thinking that all plastic screen protectors are generally the same but Expert Shield disagrees. To prove it, Ed at Expert Shield was kind enough to send me three screen protectors to try out: One for my Fuji X-E1, one for a Sony RX100, and one for my iPhone 5. [continue reading…]

Hands On With The New Zeiss Touit Lenses!:
Hey everyone! On Tuesday, I got the chance to go to the Zeiss Touit press event here in NY, and it was great. Bob from Bergen County Camera hooked me up with an invite, and I actually got my hands on the new Touit lenses for the Fuji X Mount (they had the Sony versions as well). I’ve been looking forward to trying out these new lenses for quite some time, and for the brief time that I was using them, I have to say that they do not disappoint! Again, this is more of a preview, and first hands on experience rather than a review, since I only had the lenses for the afternoon. But I will definitely be getting them for future reviews. Here’s what I think of them so far. [continue reading…]

Leica M Typ 240 Review:
The Leica M, the M10 or the Typ 240 as some call it, is the most anticipated camera for me because I grew up with Leica rangefinders. My interest in Leica started around the age of twelve when my dad gave me an old M3. I don’t think he thought it would have had such a huge impact on me but it obviously did. I went absolutely everywhere with that camera, and I probably shot more with that camera over the years than I ever did with my M9. As the years went by, I dabbled in a bit of medium format. I bought a Mamiya 6, and then 6MF, which are both rangefinders but my heart always lied with Leica M cameras. The M3 left such a huge impression on me that I sold my Mamiya’s, and bought myself an M6TTL. [continue reading…]
