The Herringbone Beatle Bag Review:

Hey everyone!  Here is another bag review but this time, it’s going to be something a little bit different.  There are so many different bag manufacturers out there today yet somehow we always see the same old thing.  For instance, the world is full of bags from companies, such as, Lowepro, Crumpler, and Domke.  I even see quite a few people using Billingham bags nowadays.  Don’t misunderstand me, there is nothing wrong with any of these bags at all.  All of these companies mentioned make great camera bags, and it only makes sense that people buy them by the thousands.  In fact, I’m a big fan of Billingham bags myself, and I haven’t bought anything else in almost 20 years.  But let’s just say that you want something different this time.  Where do you look?  Well, if you want something completely different from everything else out these days, it’s hard but not impossible to find.  Maybe you should check in…Korea.  I say Korea because this is where the Herringbone Beatle bag is made. Fuji X-Pro1 Vs. Fuji X100 Vs. Fuji X10:

Hey everyone, I have a new three way comparison for all of you today.  At one point, I had all three of these Fuji X series mirrorless cameras together.  After shooting with them all for some time, I started to think to myself, “wouldn’t it be cool to write up some sort of comparison between the three?”  Yes, they are completely different cameras in completely different classes but who hasn’t thought of how they actually compared with one another?  You have the X100, which is the camera that many believe basically put Fuji on the map in the mirrorless world.  Then, you have the X10, which is the camera that in my opinion rocked the high end compact world.  Lastly, you have the X-Pro1, which is the camera that really put Fuji in a new league in terms of the mirrorless world.  What are their similarities?  Their differences?  Do these cameras even have the same signature look?  Well, just for heck of it, I thought I’d make this fun comparison between the three X series mirrorless cameras, and see what I come up with. The Fuji X100 Review : The Fuji That Started it All

The Fuji X100:

Yes, this is my Fuji X100 user review.  This is the camera that I have grown to love.  Admittedly, while some may think that this review came a bit late (the X100 came out over a year ago), I respectfully disagree.  Why?  First off, many people were hoping that Leica would announce their EVIL camera or at least do some more revolutionary upgrades as oppose to evolutionary upgrades with the X2.  While this is no dig to Leica, the fact is, some were hoping that Leica would make some more worthwhile upgrades to the X2.  As a result, many prospective buyers that were waiting for Leica’s May announcement might be considering the X100 as even more of a real alternative right now. Eisenstaedt on Eisenstaedt:

I hope everyone had a good weekend.  It has been crazy hot here in New York City, and I’m not ashamed to say that I stayed home these few days in an air conditioned house just processing some photos lol.  Today, I’m trying something a little different.  One visitor to this site has kindly suggested that maybe in addition to reviews and photos, I might also talk about photography books, and I thought that it was a great idea.  I always wanted to but I didn’t know if anyone would have been interested.  So today, I’m bringing you all a book titled, “Eisenstaedt on Eisenstaedt”.  The photos and text are by Alfred Eisenstaedt, and the introduction is written by Peter Adam.
