Introduction:

For those waiting for a Fuji X100 lens hood (I’m one of those people) or want a cheaper alternative than the one that Fuji sells, there are several options that can be found on Ebay or Amazon.  Wanna spend less than 25 bucks?  Amazon has one by Rainbowimaging that includes the Adapter Ring, Metal Lens Hood, and a 49mm Pro1D SMC UV Filter for 22 bucks (which can be found here)!  The X100 lens hood that I recently bought, and that I’ll be talking about today is made by JCC and it sells for $34.99.  It comes with both the lens hood and adapter ring, and you can find it here on Amazon. The Leica 75 Summilux Review

The 75 Summilux:

Let me start out by saying that this IMO is one of the most temperamental lenses in the Leica catalog but also one of the greatest! The 75 Summilux, the 75 lux, Dr. Mandler’s pride and joy…whatever you may call it…it’s big, cumbersome, has focusing issues, and it was one of the most expensive lenses back in its day but when all is well with this lens, it can give you spectacular photos. Leica Coupling Ring For M lenses

The other day, I was having no success trying to fit all of my equipment into a Billingham Combination bag (you can check my review of this bag here).  I was saying to myself, “I wish they made this bag just a couple of inches longer so I can fit this one last lens.  But then I said to myself, “wait a minute, I have those Leica Coupling Rings lying around somewhere.  I should find them”.  For those who don’t know or are new to Leica (many are ever since the Leica M9 went on sale), the Leica Coupling Ring is a device made during the Leitz days that is very useful when you are trying to pack all of your Leica equipment in as small of a bag as possible.  How does it do this?
