Hands on With the Hasselblad X1d-50C:
First off, I have no photos taken with the camera, so I don’t want to mislead anyone. I just had the good fortune yesterday to finally get my hands on the new Hasselblad X1d-50C, and play around with it in the store. Ever since it’s been announced, I’ve been going crazy over this camera. I’ve always wanted to get into digital medium format, and from the info I’ve gathered so far, this is exactly what I’ve been looking for. Panasonic Lumix GX85 Review:
There are plenty of compact cameras out there but if you’re looking for something decent for under $800, the choices shrinks considerably. But there are still some really good ones. Unlike digital, I feel like I have to be more careful with film, which is why sometimes, I just feel like I don’t have the time to shoot with it. [continue reading…]
Fuji MCEX-11 And MCEX-16 Extension Tubes Review:
Extension tubes can be great tools for those who are looking for a cheaper alternative when doing close up or macro work. They are also great for people who just want to experiment with macro photography but are not necessarily ready to invest a lot of money into a macro lens. While there are some aftermarket extension tubes out there for the X Series system, Fuji themselves have also decided to make their own: the MCEX-11 and MCEX-16. They’ve been out for a while but I haven’t had the chance to give them a try until now, so here is my short review of them. [continue reading…]
