Fuji-X-E2-Review-9

Fuji X-E2 Review

Ever since the X-E1’s released, it has been one of the most popular X Series cameras, and there are several significant reasons for this.  It’s compact, it reminds us of simpler times in photography with its exceptional analog controls, it’s well built, and it produces stellar imagery.  While it’s not a rangefinder, it does have many qualities of one, which many including myself, find extremely appealing.  Best of all, the price is very reasonable.  But like all cameras, the X-E1 is not perfect, and in order to fix some of these imperfections, the Fuji X-E2 was released. First Snowstorm of 2014: Winter Storm Hercules

Fuji-X-E2-Zeiss-Touit-12mm-F2.8-Winter-Storm-Hercules-1

Winter Storm Hercules:

Winter Storm Hercules hit us last night, and it was pretty intense but what really makes this snowstorm so bad, in my opinion, is the extreme cold that came along with it.  After shoveling for the whole morning, I thought I’d go out with my new Fuji X-E2, but I didn’t get far.  I live by the water, so I definitely feel the cold around here. Received My Fuji X-E2 Today: Review Coming Soon:

Hey everyone!  I hope all of you are enjoying the holiday season.  I’ve mentioned a couple of times that I was going to review the Fuji X-E2 but it took me a while…mainly because I wasn’t sure if I was going to buy it or borrow one.  I love my X-E1, and I am very happy with the results from it, so I just wasn’t sure if I wanted to spend the extra money to buy a new body.  Well, I finally decided to buy it :).  It turns out that my good friend has been eyeing my X-E1 for a while, and offered to buy it from me, so it was pretty easy to sell it. Rokinon 8mm F2.8 UMC Fisheye Lens Review For The Fuji X-Mount

Rokinon 8mm F2.8 UMC Fisheye Lens Review:

Nowadays, there are a variety of lens choices for the Fuji X Series bodies.  Fuji makes some pretty great lenses themselves but so does companies like Zeiss.  If you have any of the lens adapters designed for the Fuji, such as, an M adapter, you can even use M mount lenses, which will give you even more lens choices from manufacturers, such as, Leica, Voigtlander, and more from Zeiss.  The Rokinon 8mm F2.8 fisheye lens has been a lens that I’ve been wanting to try out for quite some time because I love using ultra wides, and unlike any of the wide angles that I’ve owned before, the Rokinon is a fisheye.  Best of all, this lens can be found for around $300, which makes it even more appealing. A Walk With The Samyang 8mm F2.8 Fish-Eye For The Fuji

A Walk With The Samyang 8mm F2.8 Fish-Eye For The Fuji:

I knew the rest of my day was going to be pretty busy today, so I woke up really early to try the Samyang 8mm F2.8 fish-eye that I received yesterday.  I’m only going to have it for a couple of weeks but it’s definitely been a lens that I’ve been wanting to try for a long time.  I’ve heard good things about it, and best of all, it costs $299.  It’s also small, and with an aperture of F2.8, it’s pretty fast.  While it is a manual lens, it’s an ultra wide, so focusing is not too difficult.
