A Nice Weekend in New York City:
The weather was simply fantastic over the weekend, especially since it’s been raining like crazy these past few weeks. It was warm but not too hot. There was only one quick thunderstorm but other than that, the weather was absolutely perfect. As I said last week, my friend from Chicago came over for a visit. I thought I would have more pictures, since I walking everywhere in New York but I don’t. Sorry everyone :). I did have my Leica M with me but I spent most of my time just catching up with my friend, and eating a lot ;). [continue reading…]

The Leica M Typ 240 And 35 Summicron ASPH Photos:
I have a few more photos taken with my Leica M 240 that I thought I would post. The photos are of my friend, Haru, who was extremely patient with me snapping away. I took them in an old apartment, and I cross processed them because I thought it would be fun and a bit different. I also like the old school look. These photos were shot with the 35 Summicron ASPH. If you want to see some photos that I took of Haru with the 75 Summilux, you can check them out as well. [continue reading…]

Some Leica M 240 Shots With My 75 Summilux And EVF2:
Hey everyone, I hope all of you had a great weekend. I’ve lived here in New York for all of my life, and I don’t know if I’ve ever seen so much rain before. We finally had a little sun over the weekend (although, it’s been raining all day today), so I thought it was the perfect time to shoot more with my 75 Summilux and EVF2, especially since I was meeting up with an old friend. I absolutely love what this lens can do with the digital M’s but it was never calibrated with my M9. It’s a different story with my Leica M 240. [continue reading…]

If you’ve already read my Leica M Typ 240 Review, then you’ll know that I’m planning on expanding my review into different, more in-depth parts over time to give readers a better overall user experience. This is “part 2” of my review.

Leica M Typ 240 Review Part 2: Leica EVF2:
I’ve been using the Leica M 240 for quite some time now, and so much of it feels like every other M I’ve used before yet so much also feels completely new. The M 240 has a list of expected upgrades, such as, better high ISO capability, more megapixels, and a better screen. But Leica took it a step further by introducing new features never before seen on an M. Some of these new features include, a CMOS sensor, movie mode, focus peaking, and R-lens compatibility. The other big surprise is the ability for the M to use an electronic viewfinder called the Leica EVF2. [continue reading…]

Monochrom Lust, Leica M 240 Black and White Conversions:
Here are a couple of photos that I had lying around in my hard drive that I never got to. I converted them to black and white because I’ve recently had this urge to convert everything into black and white, and I can’t seem to get out of my system. I think it’s because when I picked up my Leica M 240 a couple of weeks ago, I had the chance to try out the Monochrom for the first time at Bergen County Camera. I’m probably going to sound like everyone else who’ve had the opportunity to shoot with the Monochrom but the files are absolutely amazing. I’ve never seen anything like it before, and it’s hard to believe that it’s basically an M9 sensor. Not that the M9 isn’t a great camera…it’s just that the files produced by the Monochrom are so utterly unique. I promise you that you’ve never seen anything like this before, and don’t judge Monochrom files from the web because web images simply do not do it justice. [continue reading…]
