Photo of The Day: Not From the Fuji X-Pro1 This Time:
Hi everyone, sorry for the lack of posts lately. I’ve actually been very VERY busy testing out some new camera equipment other than the X-Pro1 that many of you may like :). I am definitely shooting with the XF 60mm F2.4 R Macro lens for the X-Pro1 but I also have another surprise for you all. My camera dealer (Bergen County Camera) has been nice enough to loan me some stuff for me to review so I borrowed my first camera from them, and will be posting about it shortly! Of course, the 60mm macro review will come first since I know many of you are interested in it. So please bare with me for a bit because more stuff is definitely coming especially more X-Pro1 stuff, since I really am still enjoying this cool camera. [continue reading…]

First Shots With The XF 60mm F2.4 R Macro Lens And The Fuji X-Pro1:
Hey, everyone, I had the pleasure of using my new XF 60mm F2.4 R macro lens for the Fuji X-Pro1, and I must say, this could be my favorite lens for the X-Pro1 system. Well, maybe that’s a little premature. I still have to shoot with it more, and the XF 35mm F1.4 R lens is a masterpiece. But so far, the 60mm is a real joy to use. I’ve been waiting for this lens to test it out with some portrait work and of course, some macro photography. I’ll probably put some shots up with it tomorrow night. I will also be writing a review of this lens soon. What else? [continue reading…]

ND Filters on The Fuji X-Pro1 to Shoot Wide Open in Broad Daylight:
I’ve been getting some emails asking for more info on ND filters, specifically for the Fuji X-Pro1, so I decided to make a post of it. Just to recap from my post about ND filters with Fuji X-Pro1, the whole reason for why I need an ND filter is because I want to be able to shoot at a wide aperture in broad daylight. Shooting at a wide aperture allows me to create an image with a shallow depth of field. Shooting like this lets me isolate the subject in the photograph, and helping me create beautiful bokeh. The Fujinon XF 18mm F2.0 R Lens For The Fuji X-Pro1:
As of now, there are only two lenses on the market that you can purchase with your Fuji X-Pro1. One is the XF 35mm F1.4, which seems to be the hot lens for the X-Pro1 now. The other is the XF 18mm F2.0 R lens (B&H Photo/Amazon), which is the wide angle sibling of the 35mm. If you could only buy one lens for your X-Pro1, which one should you buy? [continue reading…]
