A Cold Sunday With The Leica CL

A Cold Sunday With The Leica CL:

Hey everyone!  Check this out: I have the new Leica CL on loan to review.  It’s been with me a little while now, and you probably know I’ve had it already, if you follow me on Instagram or Facebook.  This is my first post with it but I will definitely be talking more about it over the next couple of weeks.  Right now, I thought I’d start off by sharing some photos I took last weekend, and my overall experience with it so far. Cravar Rana 15 Leather Camera Bag Preview

Cravar Rana 15 Leather Camera Bag Preview:

As some of you know, the Northeast is experiencing some major cold!  Right now, it is 13 degrees with the sun out, and we are still recovering from some major snow.  Anyway, I’m still recovering from some back pain (and shoveling did not help), so I probably won’t be stepping foot outside today.  Instead, I thought I’d share with all of you this new bag that I recently received from Cravar to review.  It is the Rana 15, and it’s the larger sibling of the Rana 10 that I reviewed a while back (the review is here).  Keep in mind that this is not my full review of the Rana 15. This is only a preview but the full review will be coming soon. [continue reading…]

Rest Stop Near The Verrazano Bridge

Rest Stop Near The Verrazano Bridge:

It is a very cold day.  In fact, it’s been a very cold week with temps dropping further this weekend.  I was out today in the morning, and I was driving on the Belt Parkway (somewhere around Brooklyn), and I had my Leica SL with the 24-90mm, so I decided to stop at a rest stop because I wanted to take a few pictures of the Verrazano Bridge.  I really enjoy photographing bridges for some reason, and while you always see the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges in pictures, you don’t see much of the Verrazano :).  I thought the clouds, and the lighting were kind of cool too.  Well, not only was I the only one out there, I really only managed to get a few quick snaps of the Verrazano at different angles, and I basically jumped back in the car.  It was way too cold out, and I was definitely not dressed properly.  I was out for maybe a few minutes, and I couldn’t feel my hands. Fuji X-E3 vs. X-T2 Comparison: Which One is Right For You?

Fuji X-E3 vs. X-T2 Comparison: Which One is Right For You?

Apologies for the lack of blog posts lately.  I hurt my back from a sneeze out of all things lol.  Anyway, I thought I’d post something before Christmas, so here it is.  The current Fuji body that I own is the X-T2 but I’d be lying if I told you I wasn’t a little tempted by new X-E3 ;).  It’s a really nice camera.  It definitely has a lot to offer, and the price is decent.  While the X-T2 ultimately fits my needs best, I still found myself comparing the two cameras quite a lot in my head, and I’m sure I’m not the only one that did this or is doing this, so I decided to write up a little comparison between the two.  I won’t be just listing the specs.  I’m sure all of you can easily google for that information.  In this comparison, I am listing what would be the major selling points for myself after having used both these cameras in actual real world settings.  While I may be listing the differences that are important to me, feel free to add anything else in the comment section that I haven’t mentioned.  Let’s get started. Billingham Rucksack 35 Backpack Review

Billingham Rucksack 35 Backpack Review:

If you follow my blog, it is no secret that I’ve been a huge fan of Billingham products, and I’ve been using them for a very long time.  The truth is, they really know how to make great bags.  Recently though, they released two new backpacks.  There’s a larger one (which I reviewed) called the Rucksack 25, and it fits quite a lot of stuff.  Think DSLR territory or even my Leica SL with its native lenses.  Then there is the Rucksack 25, which is what I will be talking about today.  This is a nice little backpack, and I imagine a lot of mirrorless or rangefinder users may want a closer look at it.  So, let’s begin.
