Bokeh From The Sigma 30mm f1.4 DC DN Contemporary Lens:
I hope all of you are enjoying the Labor Day Weekend or as some refer to it as the unofficial end of summer. I’m going to keep this post short, since a lot of you are probably at the beach right now :). I just wanted to share a few images I’ve taken over the week. As some of you know, I’ve been testing out the new Panasonic 12mm Summilux f1.4, and I will publish my review on Tuesday. For now, these images are coming from a different lens. Since I’ve been shooting with the Pen-F, I also decided to test the Sigma 30mm f1.4 DC DN Contemporary lens. So far, this Sigma has been pretty awesome. [continue reading…]
Sony E 35mm f1.8 OSS Lens Review:
I received the Sony E 35mm f1.8 OSS lens when I was reviewing the a6300, and since it’s an older lens, this review will be a little shorter than what I normally write. I just thought that this lens would be great to review because its focal length, price, and speed, make it a great choice for those who are just getting into the Sony system. Plus, I love the 50mm focal length, so it’s always a joy to test another one out. So, let’s get started. [continue reading…]
Leica 28mm Summilux-M f1.4 ASPH in Stock:
For those who love using the 28mm focal length on their Leica M but have always wanted more speed than say the Summicron version, for example, then you should be happy to hear that the new 28mm Summilux is finally available. With the extra stop, not only will it be particularly useful at night and dimly lit situations, I think it’s going to produce some unique images considering it’s a wide angle lens that will produce a shallow depth of field. This should definitely be a fun lens to use. For more info, check out the links below:

Portraits in the Woods With The Fuji XF 56mm f1.2 APD:
Ever since I’ve been back from London, I’ve felt like I needed a change of scenery, which is kind of strange because technically, London was a change of scenery :). So, I took a day trip to Upstate New York to visit a friend yesterday. I brought a lot of gear that I’m currently reviewing but seeing as I pre-ordered the Fuji X-T2, and it’ll probably be coming soon, I thought I’d get a few shots in with my X-T1 before I trade it in. I have to say, I really enjoyed using my X-T1 over the time that I owned it, and I almost don’t want to part with it but at the same time, a lot of the new features in the X-T2 are very appealing to me. For instance, I love the new three-direction tilting screen, and I’m sure the dual card slots will come in handy. [continue reading…]
Panasonic Leica 12mm Summilux f1.4 ASPH First Impressions:
Hey everyone! I have some really cool stuff coming soon. For one, I’ve been shooting with the newly released Panasonic Leica 12mm Summilux f1.4 ASPH, and I will be writing a review for it very soon. But for now, I thought I’d give all of you a taste of what this lens has to offer, and talk about my first impressions of it. [continue reading…]
