Fujifilm XF 23mm f2 R WR Lens And X-A3 Announcement

Fujifilm XF 23mm f2 R WR Lens And X-A3 Announcement

For those interested, you can now pre-order the new Fujifilm XF 23mm f2 R WR Lens in black or silver!  I’ve always said that Fuji should’ve come out with an f2 version of the XF 23mm, and I’m so glad they finally did!  As I said in my XF 23mm f1.4 review, the f1.4 version is an absolutely fantastic lens but an f2 version might serve as a better everyday lens because it would be more compact.  While it’s not a pancake lens like the one of the X100, it’s still quite small.  At $449, it’s also considerably cheaper than the XF 23mm f1.4, which never hurts :).  Anyway, you can be sure I will be reviewing this one, and if you’re interested, you can pre-order it below:

In addition, the new Fujifilm X-A3 has also been announced.  For $599, it comes with the 16-50mm, and I will probably be reviewing this in the future as well.  You can pre-order it below:

I can’t wait to get these new items in for review.  Fun times ahead!

Sony a6300 Mirrorless Camera Review

Sony a6300 Mirrorless Camera Review:

The Sony a6000 was one of the most popular mirrorless cameras out there, and usually when something is that admired, it can be quite difficult for a manufacturer to make a worthy replacement.  Well, it may have been difficult but that did not stop Sony from trying.  Earlier this year, they released the replacement for their APS-C flagship, the a6300.  It may look very similar to its predecessor but there are a lot of new upgrades under the hood.  But are these upgrades worth the new asking price, and do they make the a6300 competitive enough considering many of their competitors have also released new cameras?  Read on and find out! ONA Bowery Camera Bag Review

ONA Bowery Camera Bag Review:

For a long time now, I’ve been looking for a small camera bag that fit’s truly the essentials.  What I mean by that is a bag that fits about two lenses, and a camera but also feels comfortable carrying just a camera and a lens.  At least for me, it’s always been kind of hard because I also want a quality bag, and one that is at least relatively decently priced.  ONA must’ve read my mind because their Bowery bag seems to fit exactly what I want.  It’s tiny, comes in several different color and material combinations, and doesn’t look half bad.  In fact, it’s quite attractive, and at $149 (at least for the waxed canvas version), it isn’t exactly cheap but it won’t break the bank either. My Trip to London With The Sony a6300

My Trip to London With The Sony a6300:

I’m back from London but surprisingly, even though it is only a 5 hour difference from New York, I feel more jet lagged from this trip than from my visit to Tokyo!  I don’t know what it was…maybe it was the timing of my flight.  All I know is I still haven’t quite adjusted to New York yet.  But it was well worth it because London was amazing.  I’ve been there before but I was a lot younger then.  There’s just so much to see, and so much to do that a week was not nearly enough.  The food was incredible too.  I posted plenty of foodie pics on my Instagram account :).  As some of you know, I brought along a Sony a6300 loaner along with a bunch of lenses to capture my whole trip, and while those reviews are in the works, I figured in the mean time, I’d post a few pics I took over there. I’m Really Starting to Love The Leica D-Lux Typ 109

I’m Really Starting to Love The Leica D-Lux Typ 109:

I have to say, the Leica D-Lux Typ 109 is a killer camera.  I’ve had this for a while now but with all the gear that I’ve been reviewing lately, I sometimes throw the little D-Lux in the back burner.  However, I started shooting with it a lot more recently, and I will write a review for it when I get back from London because it turns out I get a lot of emails asking me about it.
