The 75 Summilux:
Let me start out by saying that this IMO is one of the most temperamental lenses in the Leica catalog but also one of the greatest! The 75 Summilux, the 75 lux, Dr. Mandler’s pride and joy…whatever you may call it…it’s big, cumbersome, has focusing issues, and it was one of the most expensive lenses back in its day but when all is well with this lens, it can give you spectacular photos. I’ve been waiting a long time to write a review of this lens because I wanted to do this lens justice. [continue reading…]
The other day, I was having no success trying to fit all of my equipment into a Billingham Combination bag (you can check my review of this bag here). I was saying to myself, “I wish they made this bag just a couple of inches longer so I can fit this one last lens. But then I said to myself, “wait a minute, I have those Leica Coupling Rings lying around somewhere. I should find them”. Artisan & Artist ACAM-280 Kobe Strap:
I’m not going to lie. Part of the reason why I love Leicas so much is that they are kind of retro. When I first received my M3, I wanted a leather strap for it so badly because I wanted the look it had when the M3 first came out in the ’50s. However, during that time, there weren’t many options so I just bought the regular Leica M strap. Nowadays, there are many, MANY different options to choose from, and one of these is the Artisan & Artist ACAM-280 Kobe strap. [continue reading…]

The 28 Elmarit ASPH:
As I said many times before, my Leica M9 really renewed my interest in photography, and really gave me a new outlook on photography itself. The M9 (which I review here) has really helped me explore the digital medium in more depth especially since I was shooting more film during my pre-M9 days. Since I was in an exploring mood at the time that I bought the M9, I decided to try out a new focal length that I’ve never tried with a Leica before: the 28mm; particularly the 28 Elmarit ASPH. Hi everyone! This is just a quick post…just wanted to show you some of the macro ability of the Leica D-Lux 4. [continue reading…]
