7artisans Photoelectric 35mm f0.95 Lens Review:

If you’re in the market for a large aperture lens for taking photos in dimly lit areas or for ultra shallow depth of field work, there are plenty to choose from these days that are also reasonably priced for what you’re getting.  For instance, 7artisans has some cool lenses, and if you’re with the Fujifilm X-Series system, you might want to take a look at the Photoelectric 35mm f0.95 lens.  With such a large maximum aperture, this lens is quite flexible as to what it can shoot, and how it can render an image.  I had the opportunity to give this lens a try with my Fuji X-T3, and here’s what I think of it. 7artisans Photoelectric 35mm f0.95 First Impressions:

If you’re after beautiful bokeh, you probably want a fast lens, and the good news is, there are quite a lot to choose from these days, especially if you’re in the Fujifilm X Series system.  Best of all, they aren’t all as insanely priced as they once used to be, which is always good.  Take for instance, the 7artisans Photoelectric 35mm f0.95 Lens.  Priced at just $249, it’s not only significantly cheaper than Fujifilm’s own 35mm f1.4, it’s even slightly lower in price than the f2 version as well.  I was able to get the 35mm f0.95 in to review, and I’ve been shooting it just a bit.  Here are my first impressions of it. Sigma fp L And Leica M Mount Lenses:

As some of you know I reviewed the Sigma fp L a while back, and I thoroughly enjoyed using it.  You can read the review here, and you can also find my review of the 24mp fp as well, here.  Getting back to the fp L, at the time I was using it, I thought it would work great with M lenses but didn’t really have a chance to thoroughly try them out with the camera.  Thanks to Sigma, I was able to get another loaner to use specifically with my M lenses, and I thought I’d post a write up of what I experienced in case there are others who might be curious.
