John Dooley Shows Off The Features of The New Leica M

John Dooley And the New Leica M:

For all you Leicaphiles out there, you should check out this video of John Dooley demonstrating the new Leica M.  It’s pretty interesting, and it shows all of the new features of the Leica M.  He goes through a whole bunch of stuff, such as, the new menu, how to use R lenses, focus peaking, live view, movie mode, and various accessories that you can use with the Leica M.  The video makes me want one a bit more lol.  I guess I’m going to have to put the idea of the Nikon D800E kit in the back burner, and go for the M.  Luckily, I still have till the beginning of 2013 to make my decision :).  Take care, everyone, and enjoy the video!

Leica Products Announced: Leica M or Leica M-E Anyone?

The New Leica M:

As many of you heard, Leica finally announced their M10…or as they now call it, the Leica M.  I actually think that they did a good job this time.  The price for the new Leica M is actually pretty reasonable by Leica standards.  It’s $6950, which is cheaper than the M9 and M9-P.  For this price, you get HD video, a new 24 Megapixel CMOS sensor with live view, a high res 920,000 LCD display, and the ability to use an EVF.  Oh by the way, you also get the ability to use your old Leica R lenses, which will be really cool for a lot of people.

GoPro Captures Amazing Footage of Pacific White-Sided Dolphins

GoPro Captures Amazing Footage of Wild Dolphins:

Hey everyone, check out this cool video that I found on the Discovery Channel website.  It’s a video made by a fisherman named Mark Peters.  Yes, this is a photography website but this video is pretty cool, and it was shot with a GoPro that was incased in a custom underwater case made by the fisherman who uploaded the video.  He and his buddies were fishing for Albacore in Santa Cruz, and decided to mount the underwater GoPro setup to film the whole thing.

But to their surprise, while they were fishing, a group of Pacific white-sided dolphins started to school behind their boat.  I had a few dolphins swim up to me while I was fishing in New Jersey but nothing like this.  This is just awesome, and makes me want to buy one of these GoPro cams for my fishing trips lol.  You can see the dolphins at the 1:50 point.   Very cool video, you should watch it:

Fuji X-Pro1 Vs. Fuji X100 Vs. Fuji X10 : The XXX Shoot Out!

Fuji X-Pro1 Vs. Fuji X100 Vs. Fuji X10:

Hey everyone, I have a new three way comparison for all of you today.  At one point, I had all three of these Fuji X series mirrorless cameras together.  After shooting with them all for some time, I started to think to myself, “wouldn’t it be cool to write up some sort of comparison between the three?”  Yes, they are completely different cameras in completely different classes but who hasn’t thought of how they actually compared with one another?  You have the X100, which is the camera that many believe basically put Fuji on the map in the mirrorless world.  Then, you have the X10, which is the camera that in my opinion rocked the high end compact world.  Lastly, you have the X-Pro1, which is the camera that really put Fuji in a new league in terms of the mirrorless world.  What are their similarities?  Their differences?  Do these cameras even have the same signature look?  Well, just for heck of it, I thought I’d make this fun comparison between the three X series mirrorless cameras, and see what I come up with.
