Toys R Us in Times Square During Christmas Time:
This is a quick post from Toys R Us in Times Square. What a cool place…I sure wished they had a Toys R Us like this one when I was a kid. There’s a ferris wheel, a T-Rex, and multiple figurines/statues of super heroes everywhere. This Toys R Us has every toy imaginable. I was at the two day sale with my girlfriend, and it was completely insane. Crowds everywhere…it was like a mad house in there :). But we were able to get what we needed, and I was also able to get a couple of pics with my Leica M9 and 35 Summicron ASPH. A win-win :). [continue reading…]

Dyker Heights Christmas Lights Extravaganza:
The Christmas Season has finally arrived in full swing here in New York City. It’s cold, people are all out shopping, and some have decorated their houses with an array of Christmas decorations. One neighborhood that goes completely all out with the Christmas decorations is Dyker Heights out here in Brooklyn. I wasn’t out there specifically to take pics; I was just walking around with my girlfriend checking out all the Christmas decorations just like everyone else. But I was lucky I brought along my Leica M9 and 50 Summilux ASPH. I was even luckier my girlfriend brought along my Fuji X100 :). [continue reading…]
Leica V-Lux 20:
If any of you are interested, Amazon has the Leica V-Lux 20 for $130.50 off the retail price here. I’m not a huge fan of the V-Lux 20 but at least with a discount like this, it seems more reasonable. The sale will last only 3 hours 20 minutes more, and only while supplies last so act fast if you always wanted a V-Lux 20 but didn’t want to pay the list price on it. Firmware Version 1.176 Update:
Leica Camera Inc. has released firmware version 1.176 for the Leica M9 and M9-P. The new firmware update 1.176 eliminates a rare fault that occurs during the formatting of Sandisk Cards. All cards made by Sandisk have been thoroughly tested by Leica, and version 1.176 guarantees proper function.
