Sigma 100-400mm DG DN OS Contemporary Review

Sigma 100-400mm DG DN OS Contemporary Review:

If you’re a Fujifilm X series shooter, and you’re looking for an ultra telephoto zoom, Sigma might have just the answer.  As of today, they have announced the Sigma 100-400mm f5-6.3 DG DN OS Contemporary in Fujifilm X mount.  In 35mm terms, this is a 150-600mm equivalent, which is great for subjects like wildlife, sports, and landscape, just to name a few.  Thanks to Sigma, I was able to get a pre-release sample to test.  Here are my thoughts on it. Portrait: Leica M11 and Voigtlander Classic 35mm f1.4 MC:

Hey everyone.  So, I have been getting back into shooting again, and since I don’t think I’ve even posted much from the Leica M11, I thought I’d post a few images I took randomly during a shoot.  I was actually shooting with my SL2, so these are more like images I took candidly on break with the model.  Lens of choice was the Voigtlander Classic 35mm f1.4 II MC. Leica SL2 Silver Officially Announced With Lens Bundles

Leica SL2 Silver Officially Announced With Lens Bundles:

Hey everyone!  For those who want a more classic look, the Leica SL2 silver has just been announced.  During my M days, I always bought my bodies in silver, unless there was a black paint version :).  I love the look of silver, and in the case of Leica, the silver bodies actually look like metal, if you get what I mean (it helps that they are actually made of metal).  Anyway, for those interested, you can find the new SL2 below.  The bundles, particularly the one with the Noctilux-M 50mm f1.2 are decent too.  You do save some decent cash as well:

Thanks for taking the time to read my post!  If it helped, please consider purchasing from any of the links mentioned in this post, which in turn, helps support this site.  I get a small commission but it will not cost you anything extra.  Thank you!

Hey everyone!  I hope you all had a good weekend.  As some of you know, I recently posted a full review of the Sigma 14mm f1.4 DG DN Art last week, when the lens was officially announced.  I really enjoyed my time with it, and I had a few images left over that I was playing around in Capture One.  At first, I was editing them as color images but decided to switch it up a bit, and make them black and white.  I thought I might as well post them up. For those looking to photograph landscape, and images with beautiful starry nights, an ultra wide angle lens with a large maximum aperture, such as, the Sigma 14mm f1.4 DG DN Art, can be a huge help.  As of June 2023, this newly announced lens is the world’s widest f1.4 single focal length lens that is non-fisheye, and it’s been designed exclusively for mirrorless camera systems like Leica L mount, and Sony E mount.  Thanks to Sigma, I was able to get an early production sample in L mount before the official release date to test.  Here are my thoughts.
