Leica D-Lux 7 007 Edition Camera Just Released

Leica D-Lux 7 007 Edition Camera Just Released:

For those interested, the Leica D-Lux 7 007 Edition Camera has been released.  I did review the D-Lux 7 a while back when it initially came out.  I’ve always been a huge fan of the series, and I think they did a fantastic job with the 7 in general.  You can read my full review of the D-Lux 7 here.  The 007 Edition is a special edition limited to 1962 units because the James Bond franchise began with Dr. No in 1962.

I get a small commission from purchases made through the links mentioned here, which in turn, helps support this site but it will not cost you anything extra.  Thank you!

Price wise, a regular D-Lux retails for $1,395 where as this edition retails for $1,995.  I think some of the Leica special editions look really nice but I’m mainly a user, so I won’t always see the need for myself to cough up the extra dough lol.  However, in this case, you do get a handgrip, a camera strap holster, and a lens cap with the classic 007 ‘gun barrel’ design that opens automatically when you turn on the camera, so at least for a Leica special edition, I don’t feel the price is too outrageous.  I also like the leatherette that they put on the D-Lux 7.  It looks nice and understated but offers a better grip of the body.  I will also mention that I did own a Titanium D Lux special edition a long time ago.  I got it for a good price and when I sold it, I did get more money back for it vs. a regular edition.

Anyway, check it out, if you are interested.  You can find it at B&H Photo below:
