Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 DG DN OS Sports Review:

A 70-200mm f2.8 is one of the most important lenses out there because the focal length range, and constant aperture make it extremely versatile: it can be used for weddings, portraits, sports to wildlife, and even cityscape. To say it’s crucial to many photographers’ kits might even be an understatement.  It makes sense for lens manufacturers to invest the proper time in designing a decent lens in this range, and with that said, Sigma has recently announced the 70-200mm f2.8 DG DN OS Sports.  Thanks to them, I was able to get a pre-launch sample in L mount to test.  Here are my thoughts. Sigma 10-18mm f2.8 DC DN Contemporary Review:

If you’re an L mount user, and you’re looking for an ultra wide angle zoom, the Sigma 10-18mm f2.8 DC DN Contemporary lens has just been announced today.  It’s ultra compact, and on paper, it looks to be feature packed.  Since it is an APS-C lens, it equates to a 15-27mm equivalent, which is also a really nice focal length range.  Thanks to Sigma, I was able to get a pre-launch example to test.  Here’s my full review of it. Portraits Lower East Side: Leica SL and 75mm Lux f1.4:

I took a little break from shooting for a while, and I’ve been getting back into it recently.  I’m preparing to set up some new shoots but in the meantime, I’ve been looking through my archive of photos for content to edit, and kind of get my feet wet again.  I found these portraits that were actually taken with my Leica SL and 75mm Lux, and I thought it would be kind of cool to share. Sigma 14mm f1.8 DG HSM Art Review L Mount:

We have some great wide angle lens options out there nowadays, especially when we’re talking about L mount.  I don’t just mean something like a typical 24mm lens, for example.  There are actually some serious ultra wide angle glass to choose from that can really up one’s game in photography.  Take, for instance, the Sigma 14mm f1.8 DG HSM Art.  While it comes in several different mounts, being that I am an L mount user, I had the L mount version to test.  Thanks to Sigma, I was able to give it a go, and here are my thoughts about it. More Wildlife From The Sigma 100-400mm Contemporary:

Hey everyone.  I was fortunate to get my hands on a pre-launch sample of the Sigma 100-400mm f5-6.3 DG DN OS Contemporary in Fujifilm X mount to test, which I posted a full review of on launch day.  For those wanting more info on the lens, the review can be found here.  I had a fantastic time with it, and it’s so nice to have another long telephoto option for X mount.  In addition to it producing phenomenal images, I found it to be a great match ergonomically for the compact Fuji X Series system.  The lens is lighter, and more compact than what typically is expected from a long telephoto zoom, and it balances beautifully with the Fujifilm bodies.  Anyway, I had a few left over images that I thought I would post them here.
