I wanted to see a more hands-on view of the new Fuji X-Pro1 so I went on You Tube to see if I could find anything.  Man, Fuji definitely has some good marketing skills that’s for sure :).  I found a two part video from Fujifilm themselves.  If you want more info about the new Fuji X-Pro1…more than just looking at a photo or reading about this new camera, check out the videos below:

Thoughts About The Fuji X-Pro1:

The Fuji X-Pro1 looks really cool especially for the price that it’s going to sell.  Many people were happy with the Fuji X100 but wished that it had the ability to interchange lenses.  Now they got what they wished for and I think it’s great that Fuji actually answered these concerns so quickly.   The three XF lenses that Fuji is planning on coming out with during launch for their X mount are great choices IMO.  The 35mm F1.4 sounds great but the one that I really want to try is the 60mm F2.4 Macro.  Macro is one thing that I miss with my Leica M9.

I really hope that it’s a great camera but let’s see some reviews, and get some hands-on experience first before we announce it “camera of the year”, which I’ve seen on some sites recently.  Don’t get me wrong, I love my Fuji X100, and I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone but I sometimes found the crazy hype a little too much to swallow at times :).  Anyway, If the Fuji X-Pro1 ends up sucking, at least it will definitely make some other manufacturer try, and produce something better :).
