Leica M9-P Edition Hermes Limited Edition Video

Leica M9-P Edition Hermes Video:

I don’t normally look at the special edition Leica cameras much but I must say, I kind of wished I could afford a Leica M9-P Hermes Edition set.  Yeah I know, I know, 300 sets will be priced at $25,000, and 100 sets, which are named “Serie Limitee Jean-Louis Dumas”, will go for a whopping $50,000.  You can buy a decent car for that price.  Say what you want but the M9-P in the Edition Hermes sets looks slightly futuristic, which is kind of cool.  I wonder if the Leica M10 will have that same top plate?  I would have posted this earlier when the Leica M9-P Edition Hermes was first announced but I honestly didn’t even notice it until now.  I thought it was going to be a typical special edition Leica so I didn’t pay much attention to it at first.    I like it :).  Anyway, check out the Leica M9-P Edition Hermes video.  Below the video are some photos of the Leica M9-P Edition Hermes.  The video made me want one of these :).  I love the chrome lenses too!

Check out below for some photos of this set.

I know, I know, there are some of us that won’t ever pay this much but I’m just posting this because I actually think it’s cool.  If I had $50,000 lying around, I’m not afraid to say that I might snatch one of these up :).  Here are some photos I found on the Leica site.

↑ Leica will release 300 of this Leica M9-P Edition Hermes set, which also includes a silver anodized 50 Summilux ASPH.

↑ Named the “Serie Limitee Jean-Louis Dumas”, there will only be 100 of this set.  This set includes three silver anodized lenses: the 28 Summicron ASPH, the 50 Noctilux ASPH, and the 90 APO Summicron ASPH.  It also includes a nice bag.

On the M9 28,50,90 is a perfect combination. If money would not count, i would have exactly these three lenses. Not in the Hermes Edition though. But they put the right lenses to the set. Beautiful to look at and to shoot with.

      Hi Elderin,

I sold my 28mm Elmarit ASPH a long time ago, and I completely regret it! At the time, I was used to a 35mm lens but now, I’m finding myself wishing I had something just a bit wider. I had a chance to buy an absolute mint 28mm Summicron ASPH (barely used at all) from my friend for a very good price but changed my mind last minute. I also traded in a 90mm Elmarit for one of my Mamiya lenses during the film era…regretted that too haha!

      Take care,

      Patrick
