Photo of The Day: Shot With The XF 60mm F2.4 R Macro Lens:
Wow, it has been a very cold week in New York! I was going to take pictures today but maybe I will wait a bit :). I usually love going out in the cold but who knows, maybe I’m getting older but being that it’s currently 16° outside here in New York, I thought it would be a perfect day to stay in, and clean up my computer, since I have what seems like an endless amount of junk and photos everywhere. So, I’m deleting, and moving things around, and I run into this photo here, which was shot with the X-Pro1, and XF 60mm F2.4 R Macro lens. What makes this photo so special? Well, nothing really lol. It’s just wow, the XF 60mm is pretty darn good.
I’m almost 100% sure that I’m going to sell this lens because quite frankly, I don’t use it much at all. If I need something like a 90mm, the 55mm focal length on the zoom is long enough for me, and I don’t shoot macro much. Also, while I wish I took more portraits with this lens, for some reason, I always end up using the XF 35mm instead. But this is a nice lens, and I’m tempted not to sell it now. The XF 60mm never gets enough credit in the Fuji XF series line, and sometimes seems to be a bit overshadowed by the XF 35mm. But look at the colors, contrast, and the sharpness. Even the bokeh is nice on this lens, and this isn’t even shot wide open. If anyone is interested, you can check out my XF 60mm F2.4 R macro lens review for more info. Anyway, take care everyone, and for those of you who live in New York, stay warm!
