Busy Start to Summer But Managed to do a Little Fishing:
Hey everyone! Sorry for the lack of posts lately! I really want to get into the habit of posting everyday but I also want to try to make quality posts. Summer has finally arrived, and I’ve just been swamped! I’ve been really busy working on a lot of photos, which of course, I will be posting here. I did take one or two days off for some fishing though :). I have a row boat in one of the reservoirs in Putnam County here in New York State. It’s a short drive from New York City, and as you can see, the scenery is absolutely beautiful.
These photos were shot with my Fuji X-E1 and XF 18-55mm zoom. It was extremely humid, hot, and very hazy. Actually, since the start of summer, it’s been quite stormy and humid. I think I ended up with a little heat stroke after this trip but it was totally worth it. I’ve been staring at my computer screen 24/7, and a little fresh air, and a largemouth bass on the hook was what I really needed :).
More stuff is coming up soon, I promise! I’ve been working on my Leica M review Part 3, which will involve A LOT of black and white photos from the M 240. If you’re interested, and haven’t already, you can check out my Leica M Typ 240 review. I have to say that using an M camera again is so refreshing. Like every other M, The M 240 can be difficult sometimes because the camera never lets you off if you make a mistake but at the same time, it is the most rewarding camera that I’ve ever used. It really is. But I realize that an M is not everyone’s cup of tea, so I will also have some Fuji stuff coming up. Speaking of Fuji, it seems that Fuji is expanding their X Series line at a very rapid rate. What do any of you think of the new Fuji XM-1? At $699 for a body and $799 with a kit zoom, the price is pretty decent. But right now, the X-E1 is priced at $799, and it comes with a built in viewfinder.
Anyway, I hope you all enjoy these photos here…maybe they’ll put you all in a summer mood :). I would’ve brought my X-E1 onto the boat but I was afraid I might drop it in the water lol. As always, thanks for stopping by, and I hope all of you are having a great start to the summer!
