Hasselblad X1D-50c Medium Format Mirrorless Pre-Order :
I knew Hasselblad was coming out with a mirrorless camera but I am surprised by the price. Normally, I get the next M whenever it comes out, and I’ve been waiting for the M11 but the price of the X1D-50C isn’t as insane as I thought it would be. The price is actually close to the Leica SL and M systems. Plus, the lenses are actually cheaper than a lot of the Leica lenses. The Hasselblad X1D-50c might just replace my Leica M 240…I am extremely tempted. It’s a 50mp medium format sensor….nuff said. Plus, it’s got a lot of cool features like an EVF and 14 stop dynamic range. I guess I will wait a bit and see. On a side note, I’ve been tempted by the SL but unlike the SL, the Hasselblad actually has lenses that I want not just two zooms. Yes, I know you can use the M lenses on it but it would be nice to have some lenses that are designed exclusively for the system.

I want this. This might be the camera to take on all kinds of shooting scenes. I might have to sell my Leica and Fuji to get this plus the 90mm.

I really like this camera…it’s pretty much everything I’ve ever wanted in a camera. I may trade in my M 240 as well…it all depends on the next M, so I’m probably going to wait a month or two before I do anything. These things are so expensive that I do not want to make a mistake lol. I’m hoping Leica will announce something soon about the new M since it’s been four years already (or over three, can’t remember).

I agree with you! This new MF camera from Hasselblad is so tempting! I’m also waiting to see and read more hands on reviews of this camera before hitting the pre-order button. Waiting as well to here more about what the rumored Fuji MF Digital camera will have to offer.

Great to hear from you! I am 99% sure I will go for it lol. I’m more waiting to see what Leica has in store in terms of a new M. If I don’t hear anything soon, I will probably pre-order one.
