New Sigma Lenses For L Mount Announced

New Sigma Lenses For L Mount Announced:

I’m definitely excited about this bit of news, since I’m an L mount user.  Sigma has announced new lenses for the L mount system.  They can be pre-ordered below:

100-400mm f5-6.3 DG DN OS Contemporary Lens

TC-1411 1.4x Teleconverter

TC-2011 2x Teleconverter

UD-11 USB Dock

56mm f1.4 DC DN Contemporary Lens

30mm f1.4 DC DN Contemporary Lens

16mm f1.4 DC DN Contemporary Lens

The 100-400mm is for full frame, while the rest are APS-C lenses.  I think these are going to be awesome, specifically the ones for APS-C.  The Leica CL and TL are in need of smaller lenses, and I think these will be a great addition.  I reviewed the m43 version a long time ago (review here), and found it to be fantastic.  I’m hoping I get a CL body on loan, so I can test all three of the APS-C lenses out when they’re finally released.  Also, I definitely want to try the 100-400mm on my SL2.  It has a modest maximum aperture but it’s pretty compact for its focal length range, so it should be fun.  Great for social distance shoots ;).
