Sigma 28-70mm f2.8 DG DN Contemporary Lens Review:
Zoom lenses in the 24 to 70ish range are pretty popular because they cover so much that they make great everyday lenses. So, it makes sense that manufacturers always seem to have at least a couple in their arsenal of lenses. Sigma definitely has some nice zooms in this range, and one that was recently introduced is the 28-70mm f2.8 DG DN Contemporary lens. What makes this lens intriguing is that even though it has a fixed maximum aperture of f2.8, which is pretty fast, it’s still a very compact lens. Let’s take a closer look at it. [continue reading…]
Hey everyone. Right before things were really opening up here in New York City, I was still looking for a few places that I could visit easily that was also outside. At the time, I had the Panasonic S1, and the Voigtlander APO-LANTHAR 35mm f2 Aspherical to review. I wanted to go somewhere a bit different than my usual haunts, so I decided to drive to the New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx. Nikon Z fc Mirrorless Digital Camera Announced:
The new Nikon Z fc has been announced, and while I’m sure there are people who just aren’t interested, I have to say, I love how it looks, and it’s so compact too! Check out the photos below, and specifically the one that shows the top plate of the camera (I’m a big fan of how the top plate looks like). It looks like my grandfather’s old FM2 or something. You can even get it with the also announced Nikon 28mm f/2.8 NIKKOR Z Lens, which looks like a lens from the film days of Nikon. The links are below for pre-order or just to look at these items:

5 Compact AF L Mount Lenses From 16mm to 90mm:
When the L mount system was at its infancy, one of the things I heard most was how the lenses were so large. I was okay with this because I wanted what was basically promised: reference level glass that was built to withstand professional use all while having autofocus, and having larger maximum apertures. I realized it just came with the territory as some would say. [continue reading…]
New Fujifilm Savings Limited Time Offer:
For those interested, there are two current Fujifilm deals that are up for a limited time offer. You can get the Fujifilm GFX 50R with an instant savings of $1,000 bringing the price down to $3,499.95. You can also get the Fujifilm X-T3 for $300 less bringing its price down to $1,199.95. The links are below:

Fuji X-T3 at B&H Photo
These are decent deals, and only for a limited time. I’m not invested in the GFX system but at that price, even I am tempted :). As for the X-T3, I still own mine, and it is still my current Fujifilm camera. I love it. I also reviewed it when it first came out. You can read the review here.
