Film Friday: More With Fuji Pro 400H:
I know I missed a couple of Fridays posting film. It’s been a very busy summer but as I said in my first Film Friday post, I plan to make Film Friday a permanent fixture here. So, with that said, today I have just a few pics from late May taken with my Leica M6 TTL Millennium and Fuji Pro 400H. The lens I used was my trusty 50mm Summicron-M. I’ve been using the 50 Cron a lot with the M6 lately. To me, it’s a really good match. [continue reading…]
Film Friday: Some Fuji 400H with my Leica M6:
I’m so glad it’s finally Friday :). It’s been a long week, and I am definitely looking forward to the weekend. I haven’t used my Leica M6 TTL Millennium in quite a long time, and I’ve been meaning to use it more again, so I put in a roll of Fuji Pro 400H to give it test run. Truthfully, I blew through this roll pretty fast, which I should never do considering the price of film and development :). But I’ve been busy reviewing a lot of digital gear, so when I finally had the time to shoot film, I wanted to at least finish a roll, so I could develop it. I’ve been eager to start this Film Friday idea, and I knew if I didn’t send a roll quickly, it would get pushed aside for something else. [continue reading…]
Film Friday: Images From Winter With My 503CW:
I definitely neglected shooting film for quite some time. I bought a Hasselblad 503CW Millennium last year, and I really haven’t had a chance to use it much lately. The truth is, I’ve been really busy mainly with digital gear, and reviewing stuff for this site. Unlike digital, I feel like I have to be more careful with film, which is why sometimes, I just feel like I don’t have the time to shoot with it. [continue reading…]
A Roll of Fuji Pro 400H With My Hasseblad:
I had a roll of Fuji Pro 400H that was sitting in my Hasselblad for quite a long time. I think it was sitting in my camera for at least a couple of months, and I actually forgot what was on it. I’ve just been so busy lately that I never get a chance to devote much time to shooting with the 503CW. With a camera like this, at least to me, it takes actual time and a bit of devotion to take a decent picture. It’s not really a snapshot kind of camera. Anyway, I decided to quickly finished the roll, so I could see what was on it. Plus, this is the first time that I’ve ever used 400H, and I was eager to see the differences between this and Portra. The Hasselblad Diaries: My Second Batch of Film:
It’s Sunday, and I finally got to take a closer look at my second batch of film I received from the lab. This time, I tried some Kodak 160 Portra and Tri-X film. I actually had plans to send a lot more rolls to the lab but I can be rather impatient sometimes (often one of my major weaknesses), and I ended up sending whatever I had at the moment. In fact, I’m not as happy with these rolls as last time, and that’s probably my fault since I just wanted to finish the rolls as quickly as possible, so I could see the results (with mailing and processing, it can take almost two weeks to see the photos: bad for someone who is impatient 🙂 ). The truth is, I’m still in the honeymoon phase with the Hasselblad, so I’m always eager to see my photos from it and to just shoot with it. [continue reading…]
