Leica M9 Cracked Sensor Fixed:
For those who don’t know, the sensor in my Leica M9 cracked recently, and my camera dealer (Bergen County Camera) was nice enough to bring it over to Leica NJ. You can read about it in two of my past posts (first post and second post). Leica originally told my dealer that M9 sensors were backordered to maybe June but it turns out that apparently, they received new sensors :). Leica NJ fixed the cracked sensor in my M9 free of charge. I am very happy about this, and I can not wait to pick up my camera tomorrow. It also goes to show you that it’s great to have a local dealer helping you out, and that’s why I still buy my Leicas from Bergen County Camera. I don’t get anything for saying this, it’s just true. They’ve been taking care of my family and I for 30 years. [continue reading…]

Fuji X-Pro1 Firmware Update Version 1.01:
Wow, just the other day, I was mentioning that Fuji was going to address the lens chatter in the Fuji X-Pro1, and guess what? They just did with this new firmware release. Many have been complaining about the lens chatter, and I really must congratulate Fuji on addressing this issue so fast. I knew that they would fix issues that they may have with the X-Pro1, which is why I was confident to buy the camera right away. Fuji has always shown a willingness to listen to consumers and fix their problems. Now hopefully, they will be able to work with Adobe, and make the X-Pro1 RAW files compatible with Adobe Camera Raw. Anyway, the link is here if you want the Fuji X-Pro1 Firmware update ver. 1.01:
I’ll tell you if this firmware update was any good as soon as I start shooting with it tomorrow. If you’ve already tried it, please feel free to let me know how it’s working for you. [continue reading…]

Fuji X-Pro1 Lens Chatter Fix?:
I really think that Fuji did a great job when they created the X-Pro1. Rangefinder like handling, prices that are within reach, and a system that can produce outstanding images. But there are some issues that I do have with the Fuji X-Pro1. One of these issues is the constant lens chatter that occurs in the lenses. It sounds like I’m nitpicking but it’s really rather annoying and loud. A lot of people who I’ve shown my camera to ask me about it all the time. Check out my Fuji X-Pro1 review if you want to know more about the lens chatter. [continue reading…]

My Fuji X-Pro1 Arrived:
I just came back from my camera dealer, and I am so psyched! I finally have with me the Fuji X-Pro1 and both the XF 18mm F2.0 and the XF 35mm F1.4 lenses. The XF 60mm F2.4 Macro is coming out later. I took a few pics of the X-Pro1 so you can see it, and gave you a few of my first impressions. [continue reading…]
