$100 Off Fuji X-Pro2 and XF 35mm F2 Kit at B&H Photo:

Thinking about the X-Pro2 and the XF 35mm F2?  Here’s a great deal: for those who are interested, you can purchase the Fuji X-Pro2 with the XF 35mm F2 Kit for $100 off at B&H Photo.  As most of you know, the X-Pro2 is Fuji’s latest and greatest.  It has the works: hybrid viewfinder, weather sealing, and the new 24 megapixel X-Trans CMOS III sensor just to name a few.  As for the XF 35mm F2, it is one of the best X Series lenses to date.  It’s compact size, weather sealing, and quiet and fast autofocus make it a perfect match for the X-Pro2.  Check out my review of it.  I also did a comparison test between the XF 35mm F2 and the XF 35mm F1.4.

For those not interested in the kit, the X-Pro2 and the XF 35mm F2 can be ordered separately, of course.

PLUS WPPI 2016 Specials:

Going on Vacation to Walt Disney World

Gear I’m Bringing to Walt Disney World:

I’ll be flying to Walt Disney World this morning but you will see a couple of new things here while I am away.  Of course, I am always bringing some gear with me, since I love taking pictures and I love adding to this site.  At first, I thought I would travel light and just bring my new solid gray D-Lux Typ 109.  It’s been literally sitting in my bag for the past week (although I did use it a little yesterday) because I’ve been really busy.  However, I will also bring something I’ve been planning to review, the Fuji X-T10.  Being that it is Disney, I really didn’t want to bring much of anything but the X-T10 is so compact and light, I think I can make an exception.

As for lens, I’m going with just the XF 27mm F2.8 and nothing else.  I am going ultra light, and since the XF 27mm is basically a 40mm equivalent lens, it fits nicely in between a 35mm and a 50mm.  So, it should cover almost all my needs at Disney.  Plus, it should be awesome shooting with the X-T10 and just this lens, since both are so compact.  I wanted to take the Rokinon 8mm fisheye II that I recently reviewed because I think it would be amazing to use in Disney but I didn’t have it for that long.  I won’t be able to post much during my trip but as I mentioned earlier, I have created content that will automatically post during the time that I am away.  So, definitely stop by, and feel free to post comments or send me emails.  I will be able to answer them.

I will post reviews for the X-T10, the XF 27mm, and the X30 I had a week ago when I get back.  The Leica D-Lux review will come later but for Leica fans, I will have an M lens review coming soon.  It is actually one of my favorite M lenses.  Thanks for stopping by!

First off, Happy New Year, everyone!  I figured a great way to start the new year on my site is to talk about something I’ve always wanted review, the Fuji X30.  Plus, a lot of you are probably going on vacation with your families, and a high end point and shoot is always a great option to bring along.  You can still get great image quality, and best of all, enjoy your vacation because you won’t have to drag around so much gear. Fuji XF 35mm F2 R WR Lens Review Coming Soon:

Sometimes I hate when I get new gear in my hands because I end up wanting to buy it :).  I’m currently shooting with the new Fuji XF 35mm F2 R WR lens, and it’s better than I expected.  When I first received it, I was actually quite surprised by it.  I say this because in photos I saw of this lens, it didn’t really look that much more compact than the F1.4 version by Fuji.  But in my actual hands, it’s a different story.  It not only is more compact, it feels noticeably less bulky than the F1.4 version.  Pictures really don’t do it justice in my opinion. Adding to My Fuji X Series Collection

Adding to My Fuji X Series Collection:

As some of you may know from my Instagram, I’ve added to my Fuji collection recently.  I purchased two new lenses: the XF 35mm F1.4 and the XF 56mm F1.2 APD.  I’ve been thinking about the XF 35mm for months and my decision to get the XF 56mm APD was kind of influenced by my experience with the XF 90mm F2.0, which I recently reviewed.
