Another Post With My Dream Lens, The 50 Summilux ASPH :):

All hopes of a cold winter (a normal winter here in New York) I guess are down the drain.  I love the cold winters in New York, and I almost feel a bit cheated that I didn’t get it this year.  Well, to be honest, it’s actually semi snowing/slushing/raining outside as I’m writing to you right now :).  But…it’s not going to stick because it’s going to be warm this week.  Anyway, here are some photos I shot of my brother in-law’s golden retriever Kopi.  Photos were shot with my Leica M9 and 50 Summilux ASPH. A Few More Photographs With The 50 Summicron:

This is a very quick post.  I took some photos for my 50 Summicron review, and these are the left overs.  After I finished my 50 Summicron review, I got back to playing with the cron again.  The 50 cron has been collecting dust since I bought my 50 Summilux ASPH but I think I’m kind of missing it a little after my review write up :).  I also got to play with my film Leicas for a bit, and now I’m missing those as well, particularly my Leica M3, so maybe I will start shooting film again.  I still have some Ektar, and would love to give that a go.  But that’s another story, so on with the photos. Busy Week And More Photos From Chinese New Year Fuji X100

Early Mornings…:

It’s been a tiring week.  I’ve been waking up at 5 in the morning scouting locations for some cityscape photos.  For those who don’t know, I’ve been wanting to do more landscape, and cityscape photos with my Leica M9.  Yeah, yeah I know, the M9 is a street photographer’s camera but I’m one of those who don’t believe that you should be limited by your camera.  There are actually many benefits to shooting landscape type photos with an M9, such as it’s small size, and superior image quality.  Maybe I will even try some with the Fuji X100.  The Fuji X100 does have that nifty little leveler on the live view. Chinese New Year 2012 Fuji X100 Photos:

I’ve been waiting to go to the Chinese New Year Celebration down in Chinatown for quite some time because I love photographing it.  I brought my Leica M9 along but I really wanted to see how well the Fuji X100 would perform.  I think I’ve seen every single Chinese New Year celebration in Chinatown since I was born.  I love seeing all the Kung Fu schools doing the lion dances, and huge crowds this celebration draws.  They literally close down Chinatown to all motorists, and everywhere you turn, there is a Kung Fu school performing their art. Toys R Us in Time Square With The Leica M9

Toys R Us in Times Square During Christmas Time:

This is a quick post from Toys R Us in Times Square.  What a cool place…I sure wished they had a Toys R Us like this one when I was a kid.  There’s a ferris wheel, a T-Rex, and multiple figurines/statues of super heroes everywhere.  This Toys R Us has every toy imaginable.  I was at the two day sale with my girlfriend, and it was completely insane.  Crowds everywhere…it was like a mad house in there :).  But we were able to get what we needed, and I was also able to get a couple of pics with my Leica M9 and 35 Summicron ASPH.  A win-win :).
