Washington Square Park With The Fuji X100F:
Since I’m wrapping up my X-T20, and XF 50mm f2 reviews, I’ve had more time to shoot with the new Fuji X100F, and I have to tell you that this is such a fun, involving, and capable camera. Obviously, the X100F is a niche camera, and therefore, it’s not for everyone. Having a permanently mounted 35mm equivalent isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. In fact, I’m not even that much of a 35mm fan. The tele-conversion lenses are nice options but there are still limitations. With all that said, for what the X100F is designed for, it’s superb. Anyway, this isn’t my review; I just thought I’d share a few pics that I took while meeting up with one of my friends recently, and what I think of the X100F so far. [continue reading…]
Chinese Lunar Festival 2017 With The Leica SL:
I bought my Leica SL along with the 24-90mm zoom, and the 50mm Summilux-SL in December but I was pretty busy back then, so I didn’t get to use it as much as I would’ve liked to. It really sucks to have a brand new camera just lying there waiting to be used :). My schedule has definitely cleared up since then, and I’ve been shooting with the SL quite a bit now. Last weekend, I went to the Chinese Lunar Festival, and I brought it along with me. [continue reading…]
First Snow Fall of 2017 in New York City:
We finally got some real snow in New York City. Maybe not major snow but definitely more than weather reports originally suggested. We ended up with a few inches but it wasn’t the snow that was really the problem. I usually like when it snows but what really made the weather hard to bear was the cold. Temps wise, it was in the 20s but it felt like it was in the teens. It was cold enough that when I was walking around downtown Manhattan, I didn’t really see many people out at all. I thought I’d post some pics of this since I rarely see downtown looking like this even on a Sunday morning :). The only time I’ve seen it even more quiet than this was when it was 0° out. You know that movie starring Will Smith, I am Legend? That’s what it looked like to me when it was 0°. As to why I was out, I wanted to get a few more shots with the Canon EOS M5 loaner before I return it. These were all taken with the 11-22mm f4-5.6 IS STM lens by the way. [continue reading…]

More Portraits With The Fuji X-T2 And XF 56mm f1.2 APD:
I hope all of you are having a great Friday! Here’s a quick post with images taken with my Fuji X-T2 and XF 56mm f1.2 APD. I have been posting quite a lot of Fuji related articles lately, and the reason is because I’ve been using my X-T2 almost exclusively. It’s proven to be a great camera, and truly addicting to use. In fact, I even purchased an XF 90mm recently, so I can’t wait to start using that lens. [continue reading…]
I’m Really Starting to Love The Leica D-Lux Typ 109:
I have to say, the Leica D-Lux Typ 109 is a killer camera. I’ve had this for a while now but with all the gear that I’ve been reviewing lately, I sometimes throw the little D-Lux in the back burner. However, I started shooting with it a lot more recently, and I will write a review for it when I get back from London because it turns out I get a lot of emails asking me about it.
