Movie Extras NYC With the Fuji XF 100-400mm F4.5-5.6:

Wow, it is hot out today!  I just came back from a long walk around Liberty State Park in Jersey City.  I was over there to get some breakfast with someone but I did have my little D-Lux in my pocket to snap some photos.  I may post some at a later date but I had some photos left over from the awesome Fuji XF 100-400mm f4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR lens that I thought I’d post right now.  For those who are interested, I recently reviewed it, and you can find it here.  Anyway, in terms of these photos, I was walking around Wall Street, and they were filming a big budget movie.  This happens a lot in NYC, so it doesn’t normally faze anyone but this one was different.  They had a lot of extras dress up in very old attire.  They also had some very cool older cars. Bronx Zoo With The Fuji XF 100-400mm f4.5-5.6 lens:

As some of you know, I’ve been shooting with the Fuji XF 100-400mm f4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR lens for a while now, and I’m pretty much done with it but since I’m having so much fun with it, I decided to keep it for a little longer ;).  In other words, my XF 100-400mm review will have plenty of photos accompanying it.  Anyway, I decided to go to the Bronx Zoo yesterday because I haven’t been there since I was a kid, and I wanted to give the XF 1.4x TC WR Teleconverter a little more exercise.  It was sometimes difficult using the teleconverter with the XF 100-400mm in the city because of the sheer reach this lens has with the teleconverter attached. Photographing Some Boats With The Fuji XF 100-400mm:

I’m going to try out the Fuji XF 100-400mm f4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR lens around downtown Manhattan today, so I have to catch my bus in a bit but I just wanted to post something up real quick.  The weather hasn’t really been that great these past couple of days although that has changed today since it’s like 85 degrees.  It’s so strange to go from a sweatshirt and jeans to a t-shirt and shorts literally overnight :).  So basically, I haven’t used the lens much these past couple of days but I did manage to photograph some boats around a harbor I live by.  I’ve always wanted to photograph some of these boats but I never had the reach before.  I normally would have to crop way too much.  Thanks to the XF 100-400mm, now I do :). Night Photos With The Fuji XF 100-400mm f4.5-5.6 Lens:

I woke up at like 5am today thinking that I’d go out and take some pics with the Fuji XF 100-400mm f4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR lens that I have on loan but it was raining a lot and it was just kind of gloomy overall.  I usually have no problems going out in less than ideal weather but I was just hoping to see a little sun oday.  Plus, a lot of my recent pics have been taken in this kind of weather, so I wanted a change.  Some blue skies with nice puffy clouds would be nice :).  So instead, I thought I’d share some pics that I took from the other night.  I still may go out later. Visiting Coney Island with the Leica X Typ 113

Visiting Coney Island with the Leica X Typ 113:

It felt like the beginning of summer the other day, so I decided to drive down to Coney Island.  Nothing was really opened yet but one of my favorite things to do is walk on an old fashioned boardwalk. When I say old fashioned, I mean one of those older boardwalks where the flooring is made with those wooden beams or planks.  I love the ocean, and everything that comes with it like the breeze, for instance.  It’s great to watch people just relaxing, fishing, riding their bikes, etc.  I actually still have the Leica X Typ 113, along with some other stuff that I’m reviewing, so I decided to bring it along to see if I could get anything.
