Portraits with the Olympus Pen-F and Nocticron:
It’s been a very busy month for me, so I haven’t had as much time as I would like to post more consistently. But my schedule is clearing up, and I did finish up with the Olympus Pen-F, so I’ll be posting my review up soon. One lens I found myself using a lot with this camera was the Panasonic Nocticron 42.5mm f1.2 ASPH. The Nocticron has been out for a while but when I borrowed the Pen-F to review, I knew I had to give the Nocticron a try. It’s expensive, and it’s a pretty big lens if you consider it is designed to be mounted on a micro four thirds camera but the performance is exemplary. I’ll be writing up a review for it as well. But while I’m working on those reviews, I thought I’d post a few images with the Pen-F and the Nocticron. [continue reading…]
New York Auto Show 2016 Pt. 2: More From The Pen-F
I’ve had such a busy month, so apologies for not having anything new up in the past few days. I will actually have a lot of stuff coming here soon though. For one, I’ve also been using the Olympus Pen-F a lot, and once I’m done with it, I’ll posting a review of it. I probably should’ve posted it a little earlier but I really wanted to get the most out of it, so I’ve been playing around with a lot of different lenses, and as some of you know, there are so many great ones to choose from. For example, for the pictures here from the New York Auto Show, I used only the Olympus M. Zuiko 12-40mm F2.8 Pro. If you want to see part one of these pictures, it’s here. [continue reading…]
New York Auto Show 2016 Pt. 1: Olympus Pen-F Examples:
Today, I have some images for you from the 2016 New York International Auto Show. I usually try to make it every year. In addition to photography, I definitely have a love for cars, and it’s always great to see what’s new out there. Plus, the lighting is usually pretty nice in there obviously to help the paint on the cars look incredible, so I usually bring my camera along with me as well. This year, I brought along the Olympus Pen-F, which I am currently reviewing. [continue reading…]
Fuji X-Pro2 High ISO Samples: NY Transit Museum:
I am actually working on a few other reviews but I thought since I have some images left over from my review of the Fuji X-Pro2, I would post them up instead of wasting them. These are images that I took from my trip to the NY Transit Museum and they are actually good examples of the high ISO capabilities of the X-Pro2. This is a very cool museum, and unlike many of the others around New York City, this one isn’t always that crowded, so it can be a lot more relaxing ;). According to their website, it is actually the largest museum in the United States devoted to urban public transportation history. [continue reading…]
Trying Out The Fuji X-Pro2 Downtown Manhattan:
It’s been a busy week, so that’s the reason why I haven’t posted much. I thought I’d put up some photos I took today (actually since it’s already so late, I guess it was yesterday) with the Fuji X-Pro2. The X-Pro2 is the next camera that I am reviewing, and so far, it’s been pretty awesome to say the least. I know, not much of a surprise to hear considering I’m a fan of the system ;). Seriously though, the file quality is excellent. Files are crisp and vivid. I am really liking what I’m seeing. As of now, I am holding out for the X-T2 but I’m getting more and more tempted to trade in my X-T1 for it. [continue reading…]
