Rest Stop Near The Verrazano Bridge:
It is a very cold day. In fact, it’s been a very cold week with temps dropping further this weekend. I was out today in the morning, and I was driving on the Belt Parkway (somewhere around Brooklyn), and I had my Leica SL with the 24-90mm, so I decided to stop at a rest stop because I wanted to take a few pictures of the Verrazano Bridge. I really enjoy photographing bridges for some reason, and while you always see the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges in pictures, you don’t see much of the Verrazano :). I thought the clouds, and the lighting were kind of cool too. Well, not only was I the only one out there, I really only managed to get a few quick snaps of the Verrazano at different angles, and I basically jumped back in the car. It was way too cold out, and I was definitely not dressed properly. I was out for maybe a few minutes, and I couldn’t feel my hands. [continue reading…]
A Pic With My Leica SL Early in The Morning:
I hope all of you had a great weekend. It’s been hot and humid in NYC, so I’ve been doing a lot of my shooting in the mornings, and sometimes in the evenings. I’m not a fan of hot weather unless I’m at some tropical destination or a beach ;). Ever since I bought my Leica SL, I haven’t posted much from it, so here is a photo I took during one of these mornings out. [continue reading…]
A Photo of Verrazano Bridge With The Fuji XF 14mm f2.8:
My apologies for the lack of posts lately. I hurt my back helping my friends move a row boat out of all things :). I’m back, and I have a bunch of stuff coming. I’ll post the Mitakon 35mm f0.95 review this week. I also have a new shoulder, and wrist strap from 4V design. These straps come all the way from Italy, and I must say, they are quite nice. Billingham has also sent me their new Rucksack 25 to review. This is good to because I’ve been thinking about getting a backpack to carry my gear for a long time now. It’s definitely easier on the back. I’m also currently testing the XF 14mm f2.8 R lens by Fujifilm. I reviewed most of the Fuji lenses already, and I can’t believe this one slipped by. Anyway, the shot in this post was actually taken with my X-T2 and 14mm. [continue reading…]
Foggy Night in Dumbo Brooklyn:
I caught up with my best friend on Saturday night, and after getting some food in Astoria, and catching up (I haven’t seen him in a while), we stopped by Dumbo in Brooklyn to see if we could get some photos. It was a very foggy evening, and I thought it would be really cool to capture. Since I knew I was going to stop by Dumbo, I brought along my Fuji X-T2, Zeiss Touit 12mm, and my tripod. I love using ultra wides with bridges. I love the dramatic effect. At Dumbo, you can get pretty close to both the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridge. [continue reading…]
Fuji X100F: New York International Auto Show 2017:
Hey everyone. So, I go to the New York International Auto Show almost every year because I do love cars but also because it’s kind of fun to just take pictures there. This year, I brought along the Fuji X100F. I know a lot of people use X100s for street, and documentary work but hey, I look at it this way: when I spend a lot of money on a camera, I want to use it for all types of photography, not just one particular subject like street, for instance.
